Prayers for him and his family, and another prayer of thanks for the time he was allowed to be with us.

God bless this man.
I saw Renquist in person at the "Three Pigs BBQ" in Falls Church about 15 years ago. There was almost no one in this small place and he was sitting alone reading a book while chowing down on a pulled pork sandwich (I'm assuming here!). He had BBQ sauce on his chin.
I'll never forget that moment as long as I live.

Fox is finally breaking with teh news

I am remembering the Press hounding him this summer about retiring and he said, "That is for me to know and you to find out!"
The chief got to do it his way, not the way the press wanted him too.

Fox News is talking about hurricane assistance but crawl at bottom says Rehnquist has died--oops now there's an alert on.
"Died today at Arlington surrounded by his family" I think they just said

Holy smokes -- when was the last time there were TWO vacancies on the Supreme Court at one time?

A good friend of mine is his #1 aide, she is the one you see sitting in for him at the State of the Union and standing behind him at the inauguration.
He was a tough guy, rest in peace.
