God grant him peace and rest, and comfort his family.
Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?

No your right. I was being humorous. I was kind of responding to a post that said its going to be a really important and interesting fall with'' ABLE DANGER ''hearings and'' Supreme Court'' hearings etc. coming up but the MSM will be reporting on elections in Afghanistan or something. So I suppose I was being really sarcastic when I said that NO they'll go back to'' REALLY IMPORTANT ''things like that idiot women.I know the bloom is off that rose, and I couldn't be happier, cause that woman is nuts!
To: jeltz25
It doesn't work that way. First you are appointed to the court, then you head back to the Senate to be appointed Chief Justice. Thomas will probably end up Chief Justice.

My condolences to the Rehnquist family.
I predict, Janice Roberts Brown as the nominee. Scalia as the Chief.

good riddance to bad rubbish.

If he is replaced by a conservative, things will not stay the same. They will improve. Roberts is replacing O'Conner.

I read that too. Just how do they think that could be done? They are off their rockers.

Question for anyone:
Suprem Court Justices are appointed for life.
If President Bush elevates Scalia or Thomas to Chief Justice, would that person need to be re-confirmed by the Senate for that specific position or is it a simple job advancement?

Yes, they have been working really hard to figure out how that impeachment thing was going to work since the next 20+ people in line were all republicans.
Interesting though that they reject out-of-hand any existing democrat in the house as being "president" material.
I guess they don't think Pelosi is much of a leader.

Might as well forgo the entire bus trip. The people in all the towns Cindy was planning to stop in are telling her to stay out anyway. So much for the "momentum sweeping the land."
