Although CNN is CREAMING FOX and MSNBC and the worthless CBS,NBC,ABC networks....Jack Cafferty just took a major cheap shot on-air with Wolf Blitzer.
He asked Wolf "Where is President Bush? Is he still on vacation during this disaster?" Wolf answered him and said he returns to D.C. tomorrow.
Cafferty said " Ahhh that's nice of him to come back to work in the middle of a national tragedy...and leave his month long vacation"
Wolf said zero in response. This was the ultimate in cheap shots because anyone with a brain knows that Bush can't go there right now. The Secret Service could not protect him and there is zip he can do personally being there as chaos and rescue operations are going on.
He has organized one of the biggest domestic relief operations with the pentagon in history.
What more does Cafferty want? Asswipe...
Oh, so that's who he is! Got it. <;)
Wow! You'd think he would lose some credibility with this...but of course, this is CNN.
.....What more does Cafferty want? .....
He wants to be relevant. He wants for life to be normal again. he wants Hillary.
His life totally sucks...... and will continue to suck for a very long tme.
I knew of a "Bob Cafferty" once ... but I'm drawing a blank on this "Jeff" character you're talking about.
I can hear the sucking from Florida...and it is still...sucking...
Is he married to Shirley Jones?
The rest, as they say, is history, and Clinton was able to step in and trash Bush as "uncaring." As far as Chiles goes, there were some questions asked about what took him so long, but he just mouthed a bunch of BS about not knowing the scope of the disaster or some such nonsense, and of course no one pressed him on it. He accomplished his mission, you see, and went on to defeat Jeb Bush in the 1994 governor's race, in large part due to a last-minute phone campaign to Florida senior citizens telling them that Bush was going to cut off their Medicare. Don't be fooled for a second about the myth-making surrounding Chiles, and there is a lot of it down here in Florida. He was as amoral and backstabbing a political hack as they come.
"What is this "CMM IS CREAMING FOX",,,in what? Telling Lies, Distorting the Truth! I reject the premis."
Uh, from your post, I think you have me confused with someone else??
Who is Jack Cafferty, what is CNN, and why should I care?
This is what kills me about Fox. Reruns of O'Reilly are more important to them than keeping us updated. How about keeping Molly Hanneberg up all night to keep us informed?
Who's Jack Cafferty? Wasn't he a reciever with the Giants, then went to the Broncos and has been really good until he broke his leg in 2 places?
Don't know how many Freepers just caught it but Jack Cafferty just blew his cool on CNN about "Bush's leadership being gone after 9-11..." quoting editorials from newspapers that Bush has bungled this big time etc...the government has fallen flat on its face...this is the worst thing to happen in this country from Watts to the earthquakes in california etc...
Said where the HELL has he been? Continued to bash everyone connected to Bush Admin and said that letters pouring in say every single person writing into CNN says the government is letting these people die...he moved onto the fact that it is race related and that they are poor...he is coming again in a few mins to explain his views on that...
Unreal...he really lost it
He did it again...adding to this thread...amazing...this was much worse than last time
The louder and angrier they get - the happier I am.
He's just a head of nice hair.
Total meltdown
I think he was the lead singer of Credence Clearwater Revival.
I thought he was that dude in the Beaver Brown Band.

NEW YORK -- Like most journalists, CNN morning anchor Jack Cafferty would prefer to cover news than make it.
Especially when it's bad news.
But Tuesday, Cafferty was the story, being met by photographers as he entered a midtown court to plead guilty in a May 14 hit-and-run accident. According to the criminal complaint, Cafferty was made an abrupt turn and hit bicyclist Billy Maldonado.
About five people tried to stop Cafferty by running after the car, according to the complaint, but the newsman continued through at least two red lights, while dragging the bicycle underneath the vehicle. Maldonado, 48, who was knocked to the ground, suffered bruises and some bone damage.
Cafferty was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, assault and harassment. He was allowed to plead guilty to a traffic violation: Operating a motor vehicle knowing or having cause to know property damage had been caused. He was sentenced to 70 hours of community service, with six months to complete it, and a $250 fine. He also made restitution.
Cafferty had no comment Tuesday but the criminal complaint said Cafferty told police he saw the bicyclist get off the ground but didn't realize he had hit him. "I am unaware I was in an accident," he said.
Attorney Suzanne Holzberg, who represents Maldonado, expressed disappointment over the proceedings. "I think he got off pretty easy," she said. Maldonado, she said, still needs an operation on his right elbow.
