Once the complete evaluation of death and destruction is complete, I'm sure we'll be stunned.
I pray I'm wrong.
To: Darksheare

That pic of the oil rig is PRICELESS! Why does it make me laugh!? I guess becuz I live in MO. If the water recedes will that help remove it? Tow it back out with a tug? And the top half is MISSING? Cool.
Those flags should have been taken down. It is wrong to leave a flag to flap in a strong wind like that.
Will they cite the people that stayed and did not evacuate? I have heard of that being done before.

Hopefully just rain.
Mild rain.
Barring that, nothing truly hair raisingly damaging.

Yeah.
I forget the name of the town in Florida that was leveled completely by Hurricane Android, but that was the image in my mind.

isn't that something! Just look how high that water is there! What a mess.....maybe next time folks are advise to evacuate, they will. (although I doubt it....the old 10% who don't 'get it' rule is always in effect, I guess)

Homestead, FL. It was adjacent to the Air Force Base, which was abandoned after the hurricane.

I remember right after Isabelle, we all filtered out of our homes in shock at the devastation in our neighborhood. Power out, trees down, roofs smashed, night falling around us and the heat and humidity closing in. We were in shock, silent, acquainting ourselves with the new world that had been hurled upon us in the space of a few hours.
Isabelle - Category 1
I pray for strength for these people.

How can you be so glib about these peoples' sufferings?
Splain yourself...... glib, how so? What's glib about adding some ballast and a low tide to get that rig out from under the bridge?....
