I remember right after Isabelle, we all filtered out of our homes in shock at the devastation in our neighborhood. Power out, trees down, roofs smashed, night falling around us and the heat and humidity closing in. We were in shock, silent, acquainting ourselves with the new world that had been hurled upon us in the space of a few hours.

Isabelle - Category 1

I pray for strength for these people.

Aye....same thing here with Isabelle. I had a tree on my house. I was lucky compared to others. I was on high ground.

It's shocking. It looks like it's going to be a long time before things are close to "normal" for these people.

I grewup in Ohio and lived with my Grandparents. Grandpa grewup on a farm and always knew when a tornado was coming. I spent time in the basement but just once was it necessary. To this day I look at tree leaves for telltale signs of odd air circulation and check if the sky is green. Stuff like this isn't something you ever forget.
