NAS pensacola evac'd all their aircraft Saturday. I was in a seminar in west Fort Worth, and we heard 10 F-16s fly in to NAS Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon.
Careful what you post on this thread....we have thread cop r9eth breathing down our necks. Already nailed me for mentioning illegals.... and "I" didn't start the discussion. Just replied to a post. FGS.
Just prayed for your sister.
Hang in there.
Kudos in advance to the first person who explains how the Dems will work the hurricane into the Roberts confirmation hearing?
I saw some reporter last night who was happy to be at the Entergy EOC because she knew they wouldnt lose power!
Heard an hour ago one month minimum to repair damage....probably be more than that.
But the main thing is how are Bills dogs ?
I'll let the market and competition take care of people who raise prices. Each of these situations is different in so many ways.
Didn't FNC or the Weather Channel have a reporter holed up there in Slidell, or in Orange Beach?
Yeah, when it went over that peninsula, it jogged over. That little line of land saved NO from the brunt of the NE eyewall it looks like.
The silt from the Mississippi used to build the offshore islands and protected the mainland during hurricanes. The series of dams and levies up-and-down the Miss has changed that; including building the ground around New Orleans -- which has not always been below the level of the Mississippi and Ponchatrain...
err...people having heart attacks about the storm are COUNTED lady...
RADM Mark Sullivan was on CNN advising Naval Resource will deploy to assist as required and able.
A couple of posts above say Slidell is under water.
Haley Barbour gave out that info at a press conference (about some of the casinos being flooded to the second floor.)
He also was very broken up. In response to the question, "What is your worst fear?" He said, "I'm afraid we're going to find a lot of dead people when we get back into the flooded areas."
I heard it on the radio earlier today...havent heard anything since...
Do you have a source for this? Onyx may be interested in that, as the western side could affect her if it goes more NW.
Stay safe, all of you!
Thank you, I am starting to get really upset.
