If you or your family is in the path of Hurricane Katrina, if you would like to, please "sign in" here so that we can keep track of our people as this storm progresses, especially after the storm has passed.
Hi, Howlin. I'm signing in. I'm up in the northeast corner of Louisiana hoping we only get sideswiped by Katrina. I saw lots of evacuees stopping by our town today getting gas & stopping at our Citgo & Burger King. Most were heading toward Dallas, but most motels are booked up all across the I-20 in north Louisiana.
We are all praying hard.
And we are praying for you, nana!
Be sure to keep checking in so we will know you're okay.
Great!!!
Cool map, Spiff. Stick a pin in the map for me in Delhi. That's 71232.

Thank you for posting this.
Praying for all!
Daughter and son-in-law evacuated from Diamondhead, MS (along the LA-MS line) on Saturday afternoon; riding out the storm with his parents in a small community west of Jackson, MS. However, Katrina could still be a Cat 1 storm when it moves through central MS. Additionally, have a son and another daughter in northern MS, about 60 miles south of Memphis. The only family members "in the clear" on this one are my youngest daughter (who lives in northern Arkansas), and yours truly, on the eastern seaboard.
Mine called at 10 a.m. and left Gulfport.
No word yet.
Hi Nana4bush,
I'm your neighbor across the river full time now.
I shall, provided we have electricity.
Prayers to all of you in the Gulf Coast Region, and especially New Orleans.
We'll be seeing you on the other side...
I'm in Macon, GA, so I should be okay, but I have a cousin and her husband in Seminary, MS.... just talked to them a couple hours ago and they were leaving the mobile home to stay with some of his family.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers along with everyone else!
Will do!
Thanks! That was fast! :-)
Well, howdy! Welcome to the neighborhood. You did settle on the other side of the river then, huh. I sure hope we stay high and dry tomorrow.
You dropped "Blennos" from your most recent map. He is still there , deo gratias, and still on-line alongside CajunGirl and LaWoman3.
Luke and Mrs. Luke signing in from Mobile, Alabama. We are north of I-10 and west of I-65, no danger of surge here but wind and tree damange expected.
Mark
I'm checking in!
I'm in Oregon, though. ;o)
Thank you both for the pings!
What a nice offer, WKB!
You are a very good and thoughtful neighbor.
Will hope you hear from her soon. Can they drive to where you are?
