I support any responsible person who wants to exercize his or her 2nd amendment rights. It is true that gays are often subject to attack from self-appointed bravos who have some personal issues of sexuality to deal with. It is especially sweet that two traditionally left-of-center groups, i.e. gays and gun control idiots are at odds with each other.

``And if some redneck decides he's going to harass or harm me, he'll be thinking twice about it pretty quickly.''
I dont imagine Florida law is much different than the law here in Virginia. Deadly force can only be used if you honestly fear your or others life of limb is in danger. Harassment would not qualify. Harm could qualify if you can convince the judge or jury you were really afraid of serious bodily harm. If Keith thinks he can just wave the .45 in the face of the redneck, that would be brandishing and illegal.

Sounds like he's got a little bigotry problem of his own. Are rednecks the only people who might harass or harm him? I doubt it.
Since the queers have the expression homophobia I dub this new phobia "hickophobia"...an aversion to rednecked hicks and/or their lifestyle.
Isn't what he is saying a hate crime or is this another one of those "only for thee and not for me" situations?

Makes sense. Regardless of their lifestyle choices, everyone has the right to self defense. And for self defense, nothing works better than carrying a gun.
Despite what the liberal democrat gun grabbers would have us believe, the Second Ammendment enumerates an individual right (there's no such thing as a "collective right"). When it says "the right of the people", it means every last single person. In other words, all the people, and that includes gay people, wierd people, and whatever people.

Gun control advocates don't object to groups like the Pistols, as long as they emphasize gun safety over vigilantism Glaring hypocrisy since they are adamently opposed to the NRA.

''We live in a society where some people -- the Broward County School Board -- think it's acceptable to promote bigotry,''Bigotry? You mean like saying: "And if some redneck decides he's going to harass or harm me, he'll be thinking twice about it pretty quickly."
I mean, what if some hetero gun owner were to say: "And if some faggot decides he's going to molest my son, he'll be thinking twice about it pretty quickly."
I am all for citizens exercising their rights to self defense and to keep and bear arms. But I am getting a little tired of the double standard on what is or isn't bigotry.
And in the context of this story, I find a little chilling what seems to be a veiled threat against anyone who might oppose the gay public school agenda.

If they think society ostracizes them for being homosexual, wait till they find out how they get treated for being pro-Second Amendment.
They'll get to find out the REAL meaning of the word "discrimination".
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but unless I'm mistaken, the ONLY group it's legal to discriminate against to this degree are those who keep and bear arms.
Is there ANY other group it's legal to ostracize via things like signs (and even LAWS) that prohibit their entry to various venues?
