To digress somewhat, isn't there a rock song from a few years ago about somebody shooting a rooster? Was it by Alice In Chains?

Giving Copenhagen to cats should be illegal too.

More hysteria.

If there really is such a thing as global warming -- it must be caused by the heat cooking off of the heads of these hysterical henny pennys.

Sounds like these "youngsters" should not be entrusted with guns.

I wonder if Jenny had wandered off the property and thus became a feral cat.

Why do cat owners feel it is their right to let their cats roam the neighborhood freely? You don't see dog owners doing this (not at the rate cat owners do). We put up fences to keep them in! (though that wouldn't work with cats).

Keep your pets indoors and off my yard!

I hold no brief for the morally compromised cretins at PETA. But I do wish a Viking Kitty ZOT on any one who's cruel enough to shoot a cat!

was the cat collared and licensed? or was it like most cats that wander around all the time and can be easily taken as alley cats? was it perhaps causing harm to something? destroying property?
i find people who let their cats wander around destroying propety irresponsible. there are a bunch of cats in my neighborhood that like to poop everywhere and dig up flowerbeds.

I like cats, I like dogs, but I think these kids need .22's or shotguns.

If you own a cat or a dog, keep it on your own property and make sure your dog doesn't bark all the damn time at every noise or visual.

Is an air gun a "firearm?"

I have two cats. The have never been shot. It is unlikely to happen as they stay in my home at all times. Letting your "pet" wander onto other people's property is asking for trouble.

I have a neighbor with cat traps all over her yard. Any kitties captured go to the local animal shelter.

I love cats but if you want to keep them alive and safe, they have to stay inside. People don't appreciate Muffy making a mess in their garden. Not to mention the inevitable thump-thump of them getting hit by a car.

My wife and I rescue cats and dogs and it would disgust you guys why some people want to dump their animals; too inconvenient, they need a daily med the people don't want to pay for, and the great granddaddy of them all, they have a new baby and they're afraid the cat will smell the milk on the baby and smother it. If you can't handle a cat, you probably shouldn't reproduce.

One guy got rid of a beautiful Abyssinian because he thought it didn't get along with his dog.

Finally, most of the animals we see, are already spayed/neutered so unless they were part of a feral catch and release, it means some family abandoned them.

Get rid of the cats - then there wouldn't be anyone needing to pop one when they get into their yard ....

We have on rare occasion a stray cat or two come into our back yard. The dogs fix that problem toot sweet!

Now if I could do something about cats crapping on my front lawn I'd be much more neighborly while mowing my grass.

Take the kid, make him face a wall and fire about 20 rounds from that pellet gun at his butt. Let him see how it feels when they dig the lead out of him.
