Already, as soon as this was posted on FR, the crew all came out to say "so what" (Carville style). You see, it really does not matter to some people about principle or policy at all. All that matters is he is "our guy" put up by "our prez."

Its laughable to hear people on "Fox News" and other places say "well, at least this shows his personal opinions dont effect his rullings." Yah, he drops his conservative concince at the door. I guess that is great you know, because Bush is God himself, put on earth to save us from all Evil around the world, you know.

He's clearly not in the mold of Scalia. Now, is he better than O'Connor? Only time will tell I'm afraid. No sure deal here.

Just more evidence that there is actually NOTHING that indicates this man will be another Scalia when on the court.

Conservatives should just give it up. To fight for this guy is absurd.

Hopefully he wont be another Souter but that's not why we fought to get Bush elected and a Republican Senate.

>Many leading conservatives, Ann Coulter included, have doubted this man's conservative/constructionist credentials. This may be just another example of his lack of integrity

Huh? Playboy's case took the "conservative" opinion that parents should police their children, not big nanny Government. What part of Playboys side do you view as non-conservative or non-constructionist? As much as I disagree with the morality of Playboy, this case proves to me that Roberts IS a constructionist.

Next they'll charge him with proselytizing in front of a church. Or perambulating his kids in public. Or being a chronic masticater.

Released Roberts Documents 'Disturbing'...

(AR) Faced with growing pressure from concerned Democrats, the White House reluctantly released more documents to Democratic which may derail Robert's confirmation to the Supreme Court. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. said his staff's initial review of the documents was 'quite disturbing'.

Highly regarded Senator Schumer noted a gap of 18 days of missing work from Roberts record. "This large gap shows Roberts may have skipped key assignments and perhaps was even AWOL," Schumer stated.

GOP responded by spinning the story as 'old news' and not relevant to anything. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas desperately pointed out, "for God's sake, this was from kindergarten".

Senator Schumer wisely pointed out, 'but everyone knows kindergarten establishes the foundation of the rest of your education, and if Roberts skipped out of assignments then, how can he be trusted to a lifetime appointment? This gap raises serious questions about whether Roberts even graduated.'

A spokesperson for NARAL speculated, "those missing 18-days were spent associating with a kid who later married a woman who had a cousin who knew someone involved in an abortion clinic bombing. This is just another disturbing fact about Roberts that just keep trickling out. Roberts is obviously an extremist who supports killing of innocent post embryonic beings."

Congressmen John Conyers stated he plans to hold hearings, as soon as he finds a location he is not locked out of.

An unknown conservative group never before quoted in the main stream media before, drew huge media coverage by withdrawing their support for Roberts, illustrating wide spread bi-partisan opposition to Roberts.

CBS 60 Minutes memo department is busily obtaining vintage 1950's typewriters off e-bay in preparation for their upcoming damaging expose. Insiders at CBS said, "Our story is not going to be shot down by some pajama-clad blogger this time."

Calls to Roberts office were not returned.

It looks to me like the only overriding principle in the man's life has been career advancement. It appears he has been quite successful at that.

Apparently, Roberts worked for the only law firm in the United States that handled pornographers (paying clients) and gay rights cases (pro bono clients).

I'd like to know more about the clientele of that law firm, given the two clients we've already heard about.

In other words, he helped another lawyer at his firm prepare for his case.

The outrage from those taken in by this nonsense is hilarious. Clearly, they have no knowledge or experience of what partners at large law firms do.
