I've seen many of threads like this that have turned around.

Rush was very good on nailing the Dems on their lies (such as the failure of the ads to quote their candidate's real position on the war and feeling about Bush) and their refusal even to reveal in the ads that the candidate was a Dem. His party affiliation was never mentioned.

Rush thought it was a prelude to their strategy for the Hillary campaign, and I think he's right.

this race aside - the white house has a poor political operation, we've talked about this alot.

the iraqi troop pullout starts in the summer of 2006 - no matter what. if we go into 2006 with iraq in the same condition, $2.50+ gas, CAFTA, and some kind of guest worker "deal - we are toast.

Didn't know that. I wish him the best too. I hope any serious relationship he has is mutually reciprocal in the love department. For all of his instincts and insight in other areas, he has apparently made poor choices in women.

I did not know that about Schmidt. She was an incumbent state rep. and lost a primary?? Sounds like she might be "damaged goods" to begin with. Maybe they could have run someone stronger. Sounds like she is otherwise very conservative.

It was an 11 candidate primary with 4 viable candidates. And yes, she's a good conservative but she was punished for going along with her party on taxes aka raising them. I hope she wins she's fine but I'm now wishing my guy Tom "princple over party" Brinkman had won the primary.
