"Did he or did he not kill a woman at Chappaquiddic" Ann Coulter

On Hannity and Colmes, While discussing the requirements of a Supreme Court nominee, Ann just sarcastically noted that it was ok to kill a girl at Chappiquiddic. Colmes said that was a low blow and that comment was below her.

WHY??? WHAT is so darned SACRED about mentioning the truth???

Ann said, "Why..."

Colmes didn't answer, and the set was quiet.

Hannity and Reagan (another guest) should have spoken up.

This is another example of "The Emperor is NAKED!"

This is NOWHERE near the equivalent of driving into a canal, barely escaping with your own life, probably thinking the other person died in the accident and freaking out and running.

Probably?

And heading back into town, and taking a nap. And, 8 hours later, calling the police (but only after contacting a lawyer).

You're clearly being deliberately obtuse on this issue.

That's quite a pro-Kennedy spin you put on this incident.

The man was and is a grotesque moral midget. Every time he clambers up on his high horse to condemn others of being morally deficient, which he does very often, one word and word alone should be shouted back at him: "Chappaquiddick!"

He has fully earned it, and he deserves to wear it.

I think Kennedy is a despicable person simply because of his politics. That is more than enough.

To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and low IMHO.

Oh, puhleeeze! Ted Kennedy has skated and gotten by with negligent homicide because of his cover-up of facts and his NAME. He killed a girl, FCOL, and has the nerve to appear sacrosanct because he's a Kennedy and JFK's brother AND a so-called Catholic. He's never paid enough of a political price for his behavior, so get over yourself with your lame apologies for one of the most rutheless and disgusting politicians ever elected to Congress.

Jorge"My comments were addressed to those who think they have the right to condemn and claim that others CANNOT be forgiven EVER."

No, they were directed at anyone who brought the subject up at all.

Actually anyone can read the post and see that I was directly address comments from that particular poster. And whoever agrees with his/her statement about unforgiveness.

But of course if you have a problem with my response, that is definitely your business.
If the shoe fits wear it. That's what I say :)

Jorge"My comments were addressed to those who think they have the right to condemn and claim that others CANNOT be forgiven EVER."

No, your comments on this thread have been directed at those who very appropriately bring up this issue at all.

The issue of Kennedy NEVER being able to be forgiven?

If you insist on claiming my comment applies to you and everybody else in this thread who agrees with you, then by all means do so.

I could care less.

Contrary to what your nervous jitters tell you, bringing this issue up does not in any way dilute the force of our other condemnations of Kennedy.

"Nervous jitters"? LOL

You're the one imagining every refutation I post to any comment to any poster is somehow directed toward you personally.

You are in no position to condemn anybody.

I agree with them that we should beat him over the head with it every single chance we get. I've been waiting all my adult life to see someone do on national TV what Ann Coulter did.

You must be very young. The Jimmy Carter camp beat Teddy up over Chappaquddic during the Dem primaries.

In fact SNL did a skit about Carter parroting "Chappaquddic! Chappaquddic!" at Kennedy during the debates.

Who other than FreeRepublic will even mention this subject? Frankly, this is the first time I can ever recall this woman's murder being MENTIONED on T.V.

Where have you been living?

The Carter team brought it up repeatedly during the presidential primaries. Comedy shows even made skits about this.

I hear Rush, Rodger Hedgecock, Sean Hannity and others bring it up all the time.

I was young once. But I'm 39 now.
I didn't really become politically aware until Reagan was in office, and I saw how the media treated him like $hit. I've never trusted the media since.

No. I guess he knew she was breathing in a bubble of air inside the submerged car and purposely calculated how long it would take her to run out of air before he would go to the police.

The lengths some people will go to in order to defend such meanspirited accusations just astounds me.
Shame on you.

He has fully earned it, and he deserves to wear it.

Then go ahead and spout all the condemnations you want.

And I pray that God will be more merciful toward you on judgment day than you have been toward others.

Jorge, by the way the name is Chappaquiddick yes, it is the same culpability. Mary Jo lived for HOURS after Ted left. And she died a horrible death, probably all the while believing he was on his way for help.

I believe you've spun a fantasy about Kennedy and his remorse. I'm having a hard time understanding how his guilty conscience drives his vile attacks on the likes of Judge Bork and George Bush. I just think his behavior reveals him to be a pathetic, pampered, amoral moron.

Then Laura denied she was the driver of the car that hit Michael Douglas.

I actually googled several sites and found no suggestion of your statement above. Been hanging out at DU or MoveOn?

Your statement is so outlandish - it requires a link. Otherwise it is DU type of gossip that you are spreading and that dog won't hunt here.

The issue of Chappaquiddock. You've made it clear that you don't want it brought up. You've said that would somehow "distract" from criticism of his politics. Like I said, completely unfounded nervous jitters.

You're the one imagining every refutation I post to any comment to any poster is somehow directed toward you personally.

False.

You are in no position to condemn anybody.

Bizarre logic. Why is condemnable to criticize someone for a heinous act, but not condemnable to actually commit the act?

You are WAY too easily impressed.

And you dear sir, are WAY too defensive. I was not attacking you but hoping you would see "the other side" with an open mind....Obviously not to be.

Are you trying to make me laugh on purpose or what?

Actually, the "bruising" comment was made tongue in cheek - not as an insult.

Kennedy gets way too much media time when he opens his mouth and there are many young voters who do not know the full story of Chappaquiddic but they hear the msm call him the Grand Old Man of the Senate, etc.

Jorge is baiting anyone willing to bite. I wonder if he's getting just what he/she wants? (Assume the pronoun is "he") And what is that? Attention! Be kind and fulfill that need if you choose.

Aside from that, some cannot accept the facts (already posted here) that Ted Kennedy is guilty of gross negligence which resulted in Mary Jo's death. Due to his famous name, I believe, he managed to escape the serious charges and penalty for his crime.

Rather than humble himself at all, he has continued to represent the citizens of Mass. He is in a position to affect all of us. As to the Kennedy name, I have yet to figure out any other reason the people in Mass. keep electing him.

I can't believe you said that. Kennedy in a drunken haze killed a groupie and in a cowardly manner ran away to let her drown.

The fact he gets reelected is a telling clue about the character of those who vote for him.

If you barf when reading this you have bad problems with reality.
