For the second time in my six years as a FReeper, I am posting with a glass of champagne next to the computer. And boy! am I smiling.
There are, of course, tons of details, but I'll wait for the questions, and please ask them!
One significant note (and most mortifying moment of my interview last month) -- I was asked what other names I used. He meant this one, and asked, "What exactly is 'AnnaZ'?"
"My alter ego?", I feebly suggested.
"I'm just going to put it down as your stage name," he said.

Sincere congratulations!

Well well....another outstandingly magnificant American is on the rolls.
Congratulations........
Mostly musicians come to mind. And some actors, including one who recently passed away.
And he knew about the name AnnaZ HOW?If you google my real name, a lot of "AnnaZ"-stuff comes up. I guess they're just actually doing their homework.
Didn't I hear back 9 months ago or so that all the migration would be the other way?LOL.
Very true.
I just clicked on your homepage, Anna. I would gladly trade one Canadian like you for any number of our natural-born leftist "Americans".
Welcome home :)
Congratulations!
Welcome home and God bless you!!!!!!!
I think that sometimes Peter Jennings ACTS like a Canadian-American..and I think that Michael J. Fox may consider himself that...
BUT, I don't here Canadian-American as much as OTHER-American!!!
Thanks for real Americans as opposed to a local jerk who sent this letter to the Milwaukee Journal...LOL. You mean, as opposed to crazy people.
(ah, yes, I guess you gotta lose those phrases, eh?)
Congratulations!
1. ChinaYou're the best so far... you got #1, #2, and #3... but not in the correct order.
2. Mexico
3. England
4. Philippines
5. South Korea
Canada's loss.LOL. Thank you for the kind words, but I'm pretty sure I sensed a sigh of relief, at least from the eastern parts.
I am so glad to have you as a fellow citizen.
Congratulations on becoming a US citizen.
Of course I had no idea you weren't already a citizen. Where were you born?
I was born in Cuba to American parents but I still had to choose which country I wanted to belong to when I hit 21. It was a no brainer.
Now don't forget to register and to vote!!!! It's one of the really great things about living here and being an American. It is the most hammered-in part of naturalization. There are voter registration cards EVERYWHERE.
