For the second time in my six years as a FReeper, I am posting with a glass of champagne next to the computer. And boy! am I smiling.
There are, of course, tons of details, but I'll wait for the questions, and please ask them!
One significant note (and most mortifying moment of my interview last month) -- I was asked what other names I used. He meant this one, and asked, "What exactly is 'AnnaZ'?"
"My alter ego?", I feebly suggested.
"I'm just going to put it down as your stage name," he said.

WOOHOO!
Will read the thread later.
Thank you. And I'll be a Texan in August!Well, make that a double congratulations then. 2005 is turning out to be quite the banner year!
Gum
Congratulations! We were both already citizens of the Kingdom of God, now we're both citizens of the United States.
Anyone can become an American, but one has to be born a Texan. Or so some bumper stickers on the back of the pickup trucks of native Texans have told me.
I am a transplanted Yankee. I know I am not really a Texan, but I sure do like living in Texas with Texans.
Ahhhh, another Conservative voter.Well, certainly not a left-leaning one.
Congratulations, and thank you for becoming a citizen of the United States of America.Thank you for having me.
AWRIGHT! Celebrate, and welcome to the USA.
I'll add you to my list of good things that have come from Canada. And that list would include... (and I mean besides Stoned Wheat Thins. LOL)
The better new is, Gramma, that she is moving to TEXAS!!!
Ya-Hooty!
Texas is a terrific state, but kinda vear AROUND Austin, if you can!
AWESOME!!!
I'm proud and honored to be your fellow US citizen! And I'm proud and honored to have good folks like yourself serving on my behalf.
I hope you consider yourself an American, instead of a ______-American!Are there any Canadian-Americans? (And, if so, they're losers.)
I'm gonna go get something special just to toast you, AnnaZ. I was 14 when it first dawned on me how lucky I was to be born an American. We all welcome you with joy and open arms.
Welcome aboard and thankyou for doing it properly. You set such and example for so many who have not. You are free and they are scared.
Welcome! You make a fine addition, AnnaZ.
I heard the cork pop. Cheers!LOL! (It's a rare, but obviously reverberating, occurrence.)
Congratulations,
I became a citizen in 1966. I have never regretted my decision to become an American.
Good luck to you and yours.
