For the second time in my six years as a FReeper, I am posting with a glass of champagne next to the computer. And boy! am I smiling.
There are, of course, tons of details, but I'll wait for the questions, and please ask them!
One significant note (and most mortifying moment of my interview last month) -- I was asked what other names I used. He meant this one, and asked, "What exactly is 'AnnaZ'?"
"My alter ego?", I feebly suggested.
"I'm just going to put it down as your stage name," he said.

Shoot me now.
Welcome to the fold. Thanks for real Americans as opposed to a local jerk who sent this letter to the Milwaukee Journal
Most people in the world already know that the greatest threat and menace to world peace is the United States. I would suggest that Journal Sentinel editors read Noam Chomsky's "Hegemony or Survival: America's Quest for Global Dominance." Focusing our attention on North Korea's nuclear weapons program and omitting this country's current nuclear weapons program is a major mistake.
The U.S. is now the overwhelming leader in weapons of mass destruction. It has taken an aggressive posture toward developing nuclear weapons and tells the rest of the world that it is prepared to use nuclear weapons pre-emptively in war.
The U.S. refuses to comply with nuclear weapons non-proliferation treaties. It refuses to comply with a halt to nuclear weapons testing. It continues its development of a nuclear defense system that is seen by U.S. planners and potential targets as a first-strike weapons system.
Congrats!
Deep from the heart of Texas, our congrats to you, AnnaZ!
off the top of my head...my answer to your question:
1. China
2. Mexico
3. England
4. Philippines
5. South Korea
Congratulations !!!!
Congratulations! Canada's loss.
Hooray for you, AnnaZ! Many hearty congratulations!
Oh AnnaZ...what a wonderful addition you are to this great nation! Congrats~!
Ann, welcome!
Congratulations and Welcome!!!!! We need more Americans who know how to "do it right!" Way to go!! Now don't forget to register and to vote!!!! It's one of the really great things about living here and being an American.
When my husband was naturalized the top five were:
Canada, Mexico, India, VietNam, and Columbia.
But that was a few years ago, today, I would imagine there would be more immigrants from the Balkan States than there were then. (there were 67 countries represented at his Naturalization Ceremony.)
And, wouldn't you know it, we get 'em when they become citizens, not when they sneak across the border.
Don't miss this fab news!
Congrats! My wife will be going on that path soon.
BTW, whenevery any of us was grumbling about immigration, we were talking about illegals, not you.
