Just breaking now on Sky.
Is there any confirmation of what was found on the body?
of course we do!!!
I second that-we're as always, cousins separated by a common language:) British soldiers have shed blood in Iraq alongside American and other forces in the WOT. They were fighting alongside us even before they had these attacks in London.
not neccesarily, british armed police are very highly trained, they are all volunteers and the fail-rate is in the high 70%.
the armed police in the UK concentrate soley on their armed role, rather than it being a 'bolt-on' to finding lost children, catching shoplifters and giving parking tickets.

No information as yet.
"POLICE SHOOT SUSPECTED SUICIDE BOMBER "
Good! Now the touchy feely PC system won't be able to make a martyr celebrity out of this scumbag in court. BTW, I know of a great swimming pool in Seattle they can float this terrorist perp out for a wake.
Interesting in light of "Scotty's" passing yesterday.
"it's not a mosque!"
--Thanks for the correction of my imagination. :)
I LIKE THAT!
This statement (from the linked article) concerns me, because now I have a mental picture of some unfortunate Chinese guy running desperately to try to catch the train, unable to understand the policemen's commands to stop. I really hope this is a PC misstatement, and that the man really looked Middle-Eastern, because I have a VERY hard time trying to conceive of a Chinese suicide bomber.
Three eyewitnesses were taken to a nearby veterinary surgery by police before being taken away for interview.
Taking people to a veterinarian for urgent care purposes says more about the quality of socialized medicine than I could say in a thousand words.
That's true, about our mainstream media. They would like conservatives in America to believe that we're isolated and scorned in this world, when there are so many in kindred countries who are even more frustrated at their situations and feel as we do.We would be better off finding them and supporting them than having this bunker mentality.
Sounds like thier getting serious over there.
Works for me.
Kill the head the body dies
My cousin is a cop and his view is that many of his colleagues should really not be trusted with firearms.
"Unlike us the Brits do not arm every would-be Rambo flatfoot with enough kit to take down the Pentagon."
Well, to be fair, that's hardly true. Most cops, both in the US and here in Sweden carry some sort of pea-shooter pistol.
"The reserve that for trained and qualified personnel who have a real target."
True, it reduces unwanted shootings. On the other hand, a lot of the crime that police respond to is encountered without warning. That makes it hard to dispatch special armed police in time to confron the criminals. Therefore, pretty much all countries except the UK arm their police officers.
"Don't knock it. It actually works and they save themselves billions a year in liability costs for shooting eight-year olds who eat French fries on the metro."
Let's not exaggerate, no?
"What really ought to amaze you is the speed with which the Brits figured out who perteptrated the last bombing. Our side would still be arguing about whether they want filled or sugarless."
True - as long as the british are happy with their way, that's fine with me. Still, if there is one thing the US and Sweden can learn from Britain is CCTV. Appears to be pretty useful.
This is getting silly:
Or could it be that shooting him in the body could cause a big "boom"
"Asian" in the UK implies someone from the sub-continent..i.e. Indian or PAKISTANI.
I think a person from China would be either Chinese, or oriental.
Cheers.
I don't recall anything in the Second Amendment about 'permits'.
