There are some jihadists that reside on FR who will attack you for saying this.
Belief in religious liberty does not make one a jihadist.

Sometimes innocent people will be hurt by people attempting to stop a terrorist. Those wielding any type of weapon to protect others must be immunized from fear of retribution if their assistance goes awry.

Excuse me Sir, but I presume that you have a minor problem.

Technically, it's not an explosive but a "rapid oxidizer". It's used in firearm ammunition as a propellant, not as an explosive per se since it produces what is essentially a low-order explosion.

Witness on BBC has just said the guy with a rucksack was an 'English' guy. Was he last seen driving a white box truck?

I don't think that makes sense...smaller explosions allows UK officials to question how competent they are if they cant make BOOMS as big as before...that could DEcrease the terror...to increase terror they would want to cause MORE DAMAGE wouldnt they?
Unless perhaps the detonators were not linked to powerful explosives because they were intended to create more damage of another kind...perhaps dispersal of chemical or biological agents rather than 'bigger BOOMS'???

Right...Chem suits are customary. However, if there were any chemicals that would have caused harm, people would have already shown some signs - burns, breathing problems, eyes burning, etc.
But, biological is different. I think the suits are probably also capable of keeping out any biological "gremlins" and they are not just outfitted to protect from chemicals.

Any more news on the outcome of this Chem-suited police investigation?

Sounds like the attacks were botched. Only one reported injury and we've heard police are at the hospital. Could be one of the suicide loons is the only one injured.

It was a fairly common powder used in firearms for many years. Many in the army would recognize it right off. Also, I think it might be used in fireworks.
