sorry... I just don't see it.

Don't see that it's the same pic? I may have been wrong about that. But it has to be Natalee.

The shots of 151 proof. Wouldn't that make anyone (a 110 lb 18-yr-old especially) pretty wasted?

Depends on a number of things..food in stomach, time period involved in drinking, etc..point was I didn't see mention that she was intoxicated to contradict earlier reports..seems like an assumption...

I am doubtful any PI reported anything to anyone other than the person that hired them..would they (parents)pass that info on to someone who would then tell the world on an internet site? Now if the the news came from the people questioned instead of the PI or family, I could understand that, but why hasn't that surfaced before? Call me skeptical...

Yes, Beth is absolutely doing everything within her power. I think people recognize that and instinctively want to help her. She is raw heartbreak but she is not despair. I know I would cry tears of joy for about 24 hours for her if she gets Natalee back safe. I know that is not likely. But at the very least, my dearest G-d, she should be allowed true justice if someone has harmed her baby.

Nobody had been murdered, yet, when she allowed her to go. I think most parents allow things that go on as seniors in high school. Then something happens and everyone thinks "why did I let them do that".

It is like letting them drive or date or even go to camp. It is what parents have to do, let go, and every once in a while something like this happens and we all collectively realize it could have been us. We could be in Beth's shoes. And that is why we are so into this.

You got me to thinking, it is very early here and a good time to think.

When I look back there are dozens of dangers that I can list right off the top of my head, things I let and even encouraged my kids to do. I think todays parents are so into every lurking danger that some just can't allow their kids to do anything. And some the opposite.

Why all mine went to sleep away camp at an early age! Just think of all the child mollesters they dodged.

All played sports, think of the injuries. All drove at 16, one at 15. Where was my head? All went to parties and I know there was wild stuff going on at parties. What was I thinking. One went to Europe at agr 15 for 7 weeks with a bunch of kids and one chaperone. Was I nuts? One went to St Thomas at 15 with a friend and her 21 year old sister,,was I crazy? All went away to college, knowing what I know happens in college how could I let them do that. All dated,,My Lord, think about the dangers there.

It is a miracle they survived. Really. Poor Beth and the whole family. How could they have known? How could any parent know in advance "what could happen". If we sat around thinking of everything, our kids could never have a life.

If the prosecutor was told by Duthc higher-ups to take a vacation in Holland and then retire, it seems clear the US govt. did some heavy arm twisting behind closed doors. Aruban LE fouled up the investigation beyond belief, probably because of Paulus VDS. It will be interesting to see what the duct tape reveals. Now if they'll allow the FBI to examine the VDS cars, etc..

Didn't this prosecutor talk alot on tv and wasn't there criticism of her?

I guess I doubt both Aruba and Holland. I wonder if she is being retired to shut her up.

I hope your scenario is right.

why, folks, why?....why do parents send their kids on these trips?.....

Probably in more than a few cases, the parents remember some of the capers they pulled off when they were teenagers and that sending the kids to an island with a reputation for safety, where they can legally drink & gamble, where they won't be driving and where they will have at least a bit of supervision seems tame by comparison. There's more than a bit of irony in that if parents allowed/ hosted an after-graduation party and allowed drinking & gambling in a closely supervised setting, the parents would be in deep legal do-do. But basically, I think it's a resignation to the fact that 'kids will be kids' and that graduation blow-outs are a rite of passage, like it or not.

And aside from this case, a lot of kids can & do pay for these trips with money they have earned themselves. I know that was the case w/ my niece when she & a few friends went to Mexico after graduation. My brother & SIL did not like it but there just was not much they could do about it other than worry, cross their fingers & pray.

Fox Update

Just heard that the Kalpoe brothers lawyer is protesting the involvement of the FBI.

Additionally, through another source, I have been told that authorities in Aruba do not anticipate DNA tests performed on hair found with duct tape to reveal any evidence as regards the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. I have no corraboration for that report and it is possible that it is the result of the curious nature of the find. Perhaps they are thinking it may be a hoax.

Time will tell.

Got to agree with you on the home videos. I find them inappropriate.

The FBI will be fed the information that the Arubans want them to have. This is a tightly controlled investigation and a rather remarkable game of chess.

I get confused between single and double malt. Which one has the nice charcoal-y taste?

There's your answer to why they have "let" the FBI become involved. On a restricted basis. And it appears will not be admissable in Aruban court.

The Arubans don't participate in DNA--that's why it was sent to Holland.

RWV:

Mathew was isolated for two years and eight months to ensure that the truth would not surface. The Arubian press and the minister of justice, Rudy Croes played a large roll in the defamation of his character to justify his isolation. Now that the truth has surfaced, certain politicians and senators have raised concern that this corruption will repeat itself in the Holloway case and justice will not be served. The minister of justice Rudy Croes is attacking Alexander Mathew, the politicians and the senators in the local newspapers based upon lies. The minister of justice is even accusing Mathew of owning the website "to hell with Aruba. Com," this is a false accusation that is being supported by the Arubian newspaper "Bon Dia Aruba."

Could this be Shango?
