Got to agree with you on the home videos. I find them inappropriate.
I think it makes her even more a real person--in fact, I thought she was out of step a time or two, but so cute and just having fun.
I wasn't keen on the home videos, either, but the dance troup seems to be a big deal with kids at that school. They're more or less cheerleaders, without the throws and gymnastics that sometimes end up with broken ankles...plus they get to wear spangly outfits. At least they aren't as skimpy as some of the cheerleader outfits. They looked fairly conservative, except for the sparkle -- like a drum and bugle corp drill team without instruments...just flags.
