TICK TOCK...............
I have been on freerepublic longer than you,and I avoid even going on threads that are so mean spirited that it does not look like Freerepublic but DU. They have an excuse for saying the really horrible things they do,they are freaking crazy, and they are losers and cannot figure out why,and Ted Kennedy is one of their leaders. His post was what Howard Dean might say as he froths at the mouth.
Gee it's only 87 here!
Do you think it would be in his best interest in the best interest of the Republican party for him to break his promise to appoint a Scalia-like originalist? I can't think of anything that would be more devastating to his legacy and to the future of the Republican party.
Exactly...I like the way you think. ;o)
In what state is performing an abortion a felony?

LOL.
You better check your data; most of those 4 million stayed home in 2004 -- and you see who won.
You go ahead and take those four million and just try to get somebody elected who can actually DO something.

Spector has supposedly sent this note around to other Senators:
"The October 4, 2001 confirmation hearing for Edith Clement is available full text online. See S.Hrg. 107-584, Pt. 1 on GPO Access http://www.access.gpo.gov/congress/senate/senate14ch107.html. This includes submissions to the record, any follow-up questions, and her questionnaire."
Is there a site that has the potential nominees and their bios?????
I think it got that cool last night...
This should be in the breaking news.
Wendel Goller just said the nominee will be at the presentation.
Uhh...hello? This is what Sparky said, please read more closely:
"Can you imagine how low Bush's approval ratings would sink if he breaks his promise to appoint a Scalia-like originalist? "
I don't see how anyone could read that and then say:
"Who on the right would despise Bush for a Scalia nominee?"
I wanted it shifted to the right as well. But the question is how best to do that. I believe Roe should be gradually chipped away at until there is no pro abortion constituency left. By simply overturning Roe, the pubs risk losing their majority and we'll end up with abortion on demand for another couple of generations.
It is. :-)
Well I am in Indiana, I think it was 69 when I got up at 5:00 this AM.
Is it 9pm yet?
Estrada!
Why in the world would ANY conservative be dumb enough to blind support a party that has dramatically increased spending -- at the fastest rate since the Johnson administration during Bush's first term, incrementally implenmented socialized health care in the form of the Medicare prescription drug plan, refused to do a thing about illegal immigration and failed to fix the judiciary?
Maybe you can tell us what conservatives are gaining by electing Republicans if they fail to fix the judiciary.
