US President George Bush is attending the G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Scotland, which unfortunately was disturbed today due to the terrorist attack in London. British PM Tony Blair left Gleneagles to return to London briefly to assess the situation though returned to the summit later in the evening.

The summit will continue tomorrow but it is expected to end probably a little earlier than originally intended to allow Tony Blair to return to London tomorrow afternoon

Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.

Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.

"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Washington she also met with the British Ambassador to the U.S. David Manning

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

The British always rise to the occasion. They will be stronger than ever. AlQueda will never understand the mindset of the free people of the world! Never! And that will be their undoing!

America stands firmly at Britain's side, snugs. We are your unshakable allies, and this heinous murderous action will NOT stand. We will not falter, we will not fail.

Thanks for posting tonight; God bless you and all of your fellow "Londoners" and "Englanders" . . .

The terrorists picked a very stupid time to do this, IMHO, with all the world leaders in one place to, for one thing, WITNESS that no one is immune to the terrorists, and two, hear Blair and Bush and their reassurance that the evil people will not prevail.

God has been good to you he rewards those who are faithful to him.

I thought it was an ambassador from Egypt who was kidnapped several days ago and killed? Or perhaps there were two other leaders killed?

I too was thinking about the sharks and Chandra Leevee(?) coverage in 2001; this summer we have more sharks and Natalee, until today.

If the Dim Lefties have an ounce of sense, they will reconsider their ignorant outlooks after today.

Thank you so much for the dose today. Love that first picture of GWB behind PM Blair.

So sorry about the terror in your country today. How awful. Perhaps the light will go on for some people today regarding the need to continue the war.

Thanks again.

DeLynn

George Galloway needs to be put away somewhere where the sun don't shine!

They not only won't go wobbly--they will become stronger and more determined to get these monsters off the face of the earth. A goal that Americans share!

A friend of mine and her teen daughter were in London today. Were arriving this a.m. I hate that her daughter's first trip abroad will be overshadowed by this tragedy. I have been so ANGRY today!! I intend to write Durbin and let him know how much his appeasement helped cause this. Every single time one of our idiot dim Senators spouts off treasonous words and show we are not united like we should be something like this happens. These cowards deserve to be frightened and not treated as well as they are in Club Gitmo.
