There has been an explosion at Aldgate East underground station in London, causing the closure of the entire Tube network.
There are also reports that a second incident took place at Edgware Road station in north west London.
The Aldgate East blast was caused by "some kind of power surge", according to Tube infrastructure company Metronet, which is responsible for maintaining the Metropolitan line.
A spokesman said: "We don't know the extent of the problem yet."
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We have just sent some resources out to the scene."
British Transport Police confirmed that there are "walking wounded" and said paramedics have responded to one report of a person classed as "life at risk".
"It's chaos, with people trying to work out what has happened," said a spokesman.
"All we know at the moment is that staff reported a loud bang at 8.49am. No one is sure what caused an explosion, but it is thought it could have been a collision, a power cut, or a power cable problem."
One witness said the packed underground train he was on was 200 metres from Kings Cross when there was a huge flash.
The train stopped and people were using umberellas to smash windows of the trains. Passengers were led out of the train by underground staff.
He added people were milling around Kings Cross covered in soot.
That has just been repeated, with people being urged to run from Victoria Station because of a suspicious package.
Fox says there is a package on a bus in Victoria Station, it's being evacuated.
You mean this administration?
Yes, almost definitely. Those who don't are merely heading back to the station to collect one, or doing something urgent that cannot be delayed (helping the wounded, etc.).
that's what my dad used to say. Turn it into a glass factory.
bomb threat there.
Suspicious package found by Victoria Station....police warning people to run from the scene.
Per Fox News...
Don't like to say such things, but I hope there is something there than they can deactivate and then trace. It was an unexploded backpack in Madrid that helped the police round up most of the suspects.
FNC: Police are telling people to run "as fast as they can" away from Victoria Station.
Suspicious package on bus.
Yeah, this administration. It would dovetail with the WOT and show Clinton's lies at the same time.
"While we're at it, we should turn Saudi Arabia into one huge box of kitty litter."
Cats don't like using litterboxes that are full of sh*t.

Shepard Smith on Fox news is an ass. Said the danger is to over react.
The fear aspect (people running) is every bit the success for the terrorists as are the fatalities. Not saying these folks shouldn't be hauling fanny, but it just POs me that we are reduced to this. It's time to drain the swamp once and for all, whatever the means. A free society cannot have this.
I guess to them objectivity is subjective. I personally don't want to hear about the terrorist brilliance in their operations but I would like to hear how we are destroying them.
No---the five year old hi-jacked the TV again...I am having to follow along on this thread...
Apparently the FBI is sending more guys to the Embassy in London in case Scotland Yard needs help.
You mean Shepard "The Pope's Dead! Oh, wait, he's not, my bad" Smith?
That's what I thought, because according to Cashill, the Clinton administration went well beyond downplaying terrorism on TW800, because he was running for re-election in 1996, didn't want to "upset" people with thoughts of terrorism, well you can imagine. So I agree with you, I don't know why this administration hasn't blown the lid off that disgrace.
