The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Here's some info on PVDS - was on Riehl World...

"Some biographical information about PVDS from a Dutch newspaper internetsite (www.ad.nl, "Van magistraat tot verdachte van moord"):
- he was born in The Netherlands, lived there from his birth in 1952 to 1993;
- he became a lawyer; he was known as a hardliner, a person also that never gives up;
- in 1993 he went with his family (wife and two sons Joran and Valentijn) to Aruba and worked there as a juridical employee for the State; on Aruba a third son is born: Sebastiaan;
- later he became assistent of the General Prosecutioner on Aruba;
- in 2003 (or 2002?) he started a training for judge, still on Aruba; from March 2004 to March 2005 he followed the judgetraining in The Netherlands; but he apparently failed; back on Aruba in March 2005 he doesn't continue his training."

The "apparently failed" statement has been confirmed by the Justice Minister.

The sad part about all of this is that Aruba does not permit polygraph tests in their court of law. Does anyone know if those in custody have volunteered to take a polygraph? This would put an end to all this speculation. These teenagers are not adept enough to fool a good polygraph exam.
I feel Joran is guilty. However if a body is not found it will be very difficult to get a conviction.

well we don't allow polygraph evidence into evidence either, so they are no different in that regard. the only difference being that it doesn't even appear to be used as an investigative technique down there.

we can only hope that because they are not as constrained in their interrogations as we are, that they may be able to exert sufficient pressure to garner a confession. We also read somewhere on this thread that plea bargains are not permitted, so that is another tool missing from their toolbox, but at least they have cut the pesky lawyers out of the interrogation process, which is a plus : )

right, well from what i have gleaned, PVDS worked in the office of the prosecution, Rudy is with the gov't, that makes sense. though rudy said last night that PVDS had come to him for employment upon failing whatever judge test he had taken.

The "scuffle" was a shouting match between Joran and Thomas Twitty. Yes, Twitty. Thomas Twitty is Natalee's step-cousin!!! So actually, she had family that didn't approve of him right off the bat. The shouting match happened on 6-29-05 s/b 5/29, which is the same day she went to C'nCs and then went missing

That's a very interesting tidbit, TexKat! No wonder Jug has an extra dose of dislike for the VDS's. I'm sure he found out all about Joran's behavior from his nephew and knew he was bad news from the get-go.

After thinking about my poor logic, if they did release the other 3, then PVDS and JVDS may clam up more as they may think that if they let others go then that may mean they also may have nothing on us.

I was thinking at first that with the others out of prison that it would put pressure on JVDS and PVDS who would be left in prison.

(they could put the others under house arrest - but I am thinking the 2 brothers are most likely innocent)

Steve Croes may have been pulled into this innocently. We know from Deepak's mom that Deepak hung out on the internet most of the time when he was at home. Steve Croes hung out at the CyperCafe where Deepak worked and they became friends. Unfortunately Steve Croes happens to work on a boat.

I just don't see these guys emailing Croes for a boat or finding out where to get a boat. They would need a faster response and answer than what they would get from email.
