Zell Miller - the *true* loyal opposition, without sarcasm or irony on my part. If the Democrats were all like him, we would all have fewer problems.

Their increasing use of Nazi and Hitler comparisons has led inexorably, inevitably, to Durbin's latest orgy of Holocaust denial. That's what's really happening here - by comparing trivial things to the Nazis, they are denying the true depth of evil that the Nazis perpetrated.

If the Democrats actually believe the rhetoric they belong in mental institutions. But I don't think you'll easily find a Democrat who, when pressed, will say that our interrogations are really similar in character to Mengele's medical experiments, or to the crematoria.

Some apologies mean nothing without contrition. VERMIN DURBIN THE TURBAN should leave the senate. He even had a chance to apologize after reflection and refused to already. He tried to split hairs and say he was talking about 'interrogation tactics'. Drivel. Clearly a lie. He needs to go.

"The unspeakable cruelties that Sen. Durbin decried on the Senate floor must stop before his own detention on treason charges," said Mr. Rumsfeld.

Please tell me Rumsfeld really said that....

I am going through all the Senators web sites for Press Releases and or statements on the Durbin remarks! So far only George Allen of Virginia has issued a statement, maybe some Pubbies gave their staff the day off, but I am dismayed!

George Allen's statement:
Allen: Durbin Should Ask Forgiveness for Remarks
For Release: June 16, 2005

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Senator George Allen (R-VA) today responded to the disparaging remarks made Tuesday by the Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Il) regarding the American military troops serving at Guantanamo Bay. Senator Durbin likened the actions of U.S. soldiers at the military base to those of "Nazis, Soviets, in their Gulags," and regimes that had "no concern for human beings."

Allen said, "Senator Durbin's remarks were reprehensible. To compare our brave and honorable American troops to the Nazis and other brutal, murderous regimes is outrageous and irresponsible. It is appalling to me that a U.S. Senator would disparage our men and women in uniform in this way. This hateful assertion can be demoralizing to our brave troops and their families praying for their loved one's safety back home. Moreover, it must bring glee to terrorists and those who are enemies of America.

"The patriots serving in Guantanamo and elsewhere around the world are truly some of the finest that our nation has to offer and I'm so proud of the way they represent America. I believe Senator Durbin should ask forgiveness from the troops and their families for his absurd, deplorable analogy."

It is disgusting how the 'Rats lust for power has led their party to be headed up and in the pay of, frankly, disloyal people. How Ted Kennedy can live with this I do not understand -- he lost one brother in WWII and almost lost another (PT-109). Men like Inouye and Rangel served this country honorably also. It is so sad to see so few Democrats like Zell Miller and so many that have adopted the outlook of Michael Moore.

Any way you look at what Durbin has done on the Floor of the Senate, it has IN FACT given aid and comfort to our enemies WITH WHOM WE ARE AT WAR. The Sixties knuckleheads have aged (not grown up) and hold too many responsible positions in this country. Their disloyalty then has been replicated now.

I agree. Newt was on fire. But then, he's supposed to be as a Republican. Miller is well-respected by democrats in the South. Also, Miller's voice was shaking at times. I think he had to hold back to keep some self-control. God bless ALL THREE of those men: Newt, Miller, and Hannity.

have all signed on demanding an apology.

We don't want some damned worthless apology. He can stuff an apology.

Get rid of him and make him an example.

Sedition charges must be filed against him.

I called McCain's local office today. They told me that they had not heard if McCain had any comment. Said they'd take my name and address and forward to his D.C. office.

I said that he didn't need to, his response told me what I wanted to know. McCain was seeing which way the wind was blowing.

BTW, McCain will be on the full hour on MTP with Timmy this Sunday. I will not watch his self-serving appearance.

A couple of years ago I called McCain's office about something pertaining to Arizona that he was not supporting -- I was told that McCain was a Senator to the whole country -- not just Arizona. Put me in my place since I thought he was elected to represent Arizona -- LOL
