I doubt she got into the car willingly per se, but was grabbed unawares and relaxed when she realized who it was. Unfortunately, for her. Should she have gotten in? No. Did she have a choice? I doubt it. I think it all happened too fast for her. Once in I think she thought she was ok because she 'knew' Sloot. I'm not sure if I ever heard anyone comment on her having met the brothers earlier though. Anyone?
Quilla, thanks for the info. I see the CIA handbook left out the drug trade. I have to presume they did not want to offend the Arubans. NSNR
I would gladly love to be wrong on my analysis of this crime. If the girl is alive it is a (win win) for us all Arubans&Americans. NSNR
When I was looking around yesterday I found material saying that Aruba and some other islands assist Columbia and others in getting their drugs to the US and other areas.
I am always elated when I see American pride and patriotism on the FR. I feel that is the least we can do for Natalee in her remembrance and not reward the Aruban economy with our green backs. Ya Done Good!! NSNR

4th Man Detained in Aruba Disappearance
By PETER PRENGAMAN
Associated Press Writer
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) -- A party boat disc jockey was detained Friday on suspicion of being involved in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, who vanished nearly three weeks ago while celebrating her high school graduation, authorities and his employer said.
Meanwhile, Holloway's mother said she believed there might be more arrests before the case was resolved. She did not elaborate.
Steve Gregory Croes, whom authorities earlier identified only by the initials S.G.C., said he was contacted by police Thursday night and went to the station voluntarily to give a statement, said his employer, Marcus Wiggins.
Croes was the fourth person detained in the May 30 disappearance of Holloway, 18. Croes also said he knew one of two Surinamese brothers being detained in the case because they went to the same Internet cafe, Wiggins told The Associated Press.
Croes was a DJ on the Tattoo, which offers nightly dining, dancing and swimming, Wiggins said.
"I've never had problems with him," Wiggins told the AP. "He keeps to himself and shows up to work every day and does his job."
Wiggins also said he had not seen the other three young men detained in the case on the boat.
Authorities previously detained 17-year-old Joran van der Sloot, the son of a Dutch justice official on Aruba, and his two friends, Surinamese brothers Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18.
Of the interviews I've seen, her friends only saw her with Sloot in the previous days. Apparently he was usually around them.
Since she was yelling & waving from the car, I wonder what the symptoms are of a combination of alcohol and date rape drugs?
Perhaps she was yelling and waving trying to get help.

Posted: Fri Jun 17, 2005 4:32 pm Post subject: Report of Natalie on Party Boat day of diapearence.
This was a post on Aruba.com before the discussion was taken down. It reports that she was on a snorkling\party cruise the day before she disappeared.
I saved it because it seem to be an authentic firsthand account.

My husband and I were in Aruba last week and spent time with the girls on The DePalm tours snorkel/booze cruise. We saw Natalie later that night at Carlos and Charlies and we commented that she was up to partyubg that night because of the exhaustive day we had on the boat. When we saw her leave she left by herself. No one was with her but we did notice some local guys talking to her while she was in there. I do not know if this will help but my heart goes out to the family and I can not believe this has happened.I live 4000 miles away outside of Detroit, Michigan and I feel like it happened to somone I know having spent tome with them on the boat. I even have pictures of them.I will pray for her and her family. Sincerly John and Michele Gumm
Well, Croes is supposedly the party boat disc jockey. I'm wondering if he was doing some moonlighting as the DJ at one of Lorenzo's after-hour parties.
Good find. Same boat (The Tattoo?) out of Palm beach? Perhaps the DJ got his ideas earlier on the boat then executed his plan later out of C & C's.
Glad you said that. I thought everyone packed in advance. Who would want to be worried about packing when you have a plane to catch, etc.?
Now, when I am packing to leave home, I often start packing a few days in advance. You can put your shoes, extra undies, etc. in the suitcase early. Why leave everything until the last minute?
It clearly states, on my passport, once you leave the United States, our laws, our freedoms, do not exist.
If you find yourself in a bad situation, do not expect the United States to help you.
So, basically, you're on your own.
I think that may be a good analysis on Aruba's low crime rate. Hell, just don't report any crimes and the stats will be low or non-existent. NSNR

Concerned4natalee -
My guess is the networks will all start hearing about it and reporting it soon. Also, I dont know if this is relavant to the NH case or coincidental and therefore should be considrered UNRELIABLE until confirmed but I am made to understand that FBI and DEA agents working in Venezuela with Venezualan government officials are making their way to a village north of a town called Adicora (sp.). I dont know where Adicora is - if anyone can help please advise.
(I lived in Caracas several years ago. Never heard of Adicora.)
Thank you for the information. It is horrific.
Caracas? Cool! Wow, you've LIVED Deejay! :o)
I'm just posting from another board. Most of it is rumor, so take it with a grain of salt until it is confirmed.
