Asked why investigators waited more than two weeks to search the house, the attorney general said, "You can't just go in there like a cowboy."

She said officials need to "build up an investigation" first.

There could not be any clearer evidence that "the fix is in".

Of course, if we had real investigative journalists, the natural follow-up question should have been "Madame Attorney-General, what does law-enforcement investigators immediately searching a murder suspect's home for evidence before that evidence can be destroyed have to do with cowboys?"

I believe the Aruban government's strategy is to stall and wait for the American media to move on, then quietly sweep this under the rug.

ok the thing goes liek this....the kids that go to ISA(int'l School of Aruba) are all together because their school hours are completely fdifferent form other schools, so usually they all hang otu 2gether, or each have their different group of freinds (being their in a private school), so JOrans freinds are basically his classmates or a few poeple from out-of-school, most people here never knew who the hell he was when the news broke out....they thought he was a dutch tourist...again remember yes his dad is high ranking but hasnt been on the island fo rover 5 years fo rhis studies, so you tend to 4get who he is.

I don't know about anyone else but I am getting real tired of everyone on the news saying how "safe" Aruba is. Daily someone comments on how beautiful, safe, etc. this place is. Who cares? Heck, this is NOT THE ISSUE - We are not concerned about Aruba's reputation. Nor does our media have to show some evedince that we want to protect their tourist trade and not harm it!

I didn't hear anyone try to be sure tourism in Florida did not suffer when the kidnappings occured there. Who on the news kept repeating that Florida was safe? It was obvious the most important thing was finding the kidnapped victims - not Florida's economy based on the tourists.

no I have no confirmation on this, but i would think that it would be the areas of the 2 new detained. The lorenzo guy like i stated before has a house out in like "woodsy" area....we dont have WOODS here but liek bushy and lots of cactus...he threw "underground parties" their...i would think that would be the area they would search, but again nothing confimed

The reason that I cannot buy that is that Natalee was last seen on May 30th, the FBI was requested and was on the ground in Aruba June 2nd if not before.

I hear ya, TexKat, regarding Keating and the OKC bombing. I was just reporting what they said.

Out of curiosity, do you think the Arubian govt has taken full advantage of our investigative sources? And do you not believe the charge Keating made about the FBI having to watch interrogations behind a glass partition without being allowed to aid in the line of questioning?

yestaerday was a detention of someone important with this investigation, and this morning a guy of 26 years was arrested thisd moring, we dont know why but it has relation to the case of NH
Edmond:today at 6 poelice picked up at adress at Cas ARiba a youngster of 26 years...but others say hes only 18...were not sure but w/ lst name Croes in relation to this case, we dont know his roll in this but its possibly for interogation,.,...yestserday ..no confirmation yet......that their were detention of 2 borhters , dutch, that were interogated yestrday..information that keeps coming to TOP95 show that the invetigation is one that is slow, but trying to take SURE steps...slowly because theirs not much info on the case, but authroities keepo workgin on the case, we must say that in part of TOP95, we are following these revelations, again a boy w/ lst name Croes was detained..apparently he works by the marriott as a beach worker...we dont know much more if anyone else is being interogated...we dont know if JOran has said anything but we must say that Top has spoken to a friend of J VDS sayds that she says she knows JOran and doesnt think he is ever capabale of doing somehting like this, hes quiet.....nice...and just likes to go out w/ freinds..she doesnt know ever taht Joran has done or dealed with drugs...never heard that about him....she says also that she thinks firmly that JOran couldnt have committed any crime against the young NH...also we have otehr freinds that have decalred that its true what this other girl is saying..they dont believe he doesnt have it "in him" to do some crime.....again we have to be aware that we dont know what someone is capable of...well lets see whats going to happen...int he last 48 hours AUA has changed of opinion that from being dead AUA thinks that she is alive!

I understand that Croes is a pretty common name in Aruba. But could be wrong . . .

I've known some highly intelligent people who had absolutely zero common sense or "street sense".

Not saying that is the case here, it's just that you can't always infer intelligence in all situations from GPA alone.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that at all. What I was thinking is that so often kids think they are so smart. In this instance a parent can point out that this was not a 14 year old, but an intelligent 18 year old. Sometimes, one needs to use a different apporoach to get through to certain kids.

I think that if it was a high ranking person Top 95 would have broadcasted for sure.

There are many Croes living on Aruba, so please do not jump to conclusions. On Aruba the thought that she might be still alive is reviving again.

If a body is found, and a thorough autopsy can be performed at this late date, I wonder who will do the autopsy and, more importantly, if the findings can be trusted.

I hope it won't be the same man who did the autopsy on Terri Schiavo !
