ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Authorities in Aruba arrested a fourth man in connection with the disappearance of missing Alabama honors student Natalee Holloway (search), sources told FOX News.

The new person detained is a 26-year-old friend of Joran van der Sloot (search) — who was with Holloway the night she disappeared, sources said. Van der Sloot, 17, has been detained but not charged.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Caren Janssen announced that van der Sloot's father can visit his son. Also, an Aruban judge postponed ruling on whether a Dutch teenager's defense attorneys can see any evidence gathered so far in the case of missing Alabama honors student Natalee Holloway (search).

The Aruban judge also postponed until Friday a ruling on whether 17-year-old Joran van der Sloot (search) — who was with Holloway the night she disappeared and has been detained but not charged — can be visited by his father, said Attorney General Caren Janssen.

Janssen declined to say whether the judge was considering other petitions related to the case. The boy's father, Paul van der Sloot (search), from Holland, is training to be a judge in Aruba, which is a Dutch protectorate in the Caribbean.

Natalee's stepfather and mother were initially flown to Aruba on a McWane International jet. Although I don't find Phoenix Metals listed as a subsidiary of McWane, I believe the businesses have worked in conjunction in the past. I was told that Mr. McWane has offered to pay any ransom should Natalee's disappearance be the result of kidnapping or sale into slavery.

Additionally, Natalee's biological father is said to have worked in a special ops division of the military.

well ive had no confirmation that it was him, but this guy was a suspect since the begining.....this guy went "nuts" since his fatehr died....he apparently has underground parties and such...hes crazy......like he doesnt give a shit about anything! but he has a house on the main road of savaneta and also another one in Seroe Alejandro......lets see what happens......will keep you posted.....again they have hopes she is still alive

You are so right. She is being very strong. Although the situation is not one I would have allowed for my daughter, I still have such empathy for this mother's agony. My own daughter is safe, working, etc., but lives far away. I still worry at least once a day about her. I cannot imagine how I would feel if her whereabouts was unknown.

Fox asking why DOJ only will release initials of fourth suspect SGC. (are they protecting someone again?) Good question. I'm sure someone on Aruba knows who this is and it's only a matter of time before we know who this is.

I pray that happens.

It's all such a mystery. There does need to be a resolution one way or the other for her family. It must be agonizing for a parent to have to endure this day after day. Not knowing has to be so painful.

i heard a year ago.

He died about 3 years ago...he commited suicide in his house....his family found him hung in the hallway

ok the Boy taht hsi father commited suicide (Lorenzo is his name) he was arrrested YESTERDAY...the one of TODAY (SGC) i have not been confirmed a name yet...but i dont know who his parents are
