Is there a stature of limitations on those type of things? Yeah it probably expired long ago but I was only being facetious anyway. Everyone knows liberals aren't prosecuted.

He and Bernstein must've had a meeting with the publisher today... "we're screwed, just confirm it".
To: pbrown
You're right, there is no honor in being a rat. He should have used his ability and authority and arrested those committing criminal acts.

Kinda boring. I was hoping it was gonna be George HW Bush or Pat Buchannan.

Liddy has such intense hatred for Dean -- seemingly justified, seeing what a snake Dean is -- that he would probably accuse him of anything.AND WIN IN COURT! LOL!

* The true target of the breakin was in fact "NOT" Larry O'Brien's phone, Chairman of the DNC, but that of an escort service the Democrats set up for out of town male visitors.I heard this years ago on an A & E special about "Watergate". The show's contention was that John Dean set up the break in because his girlfriend's (Maureen, later his wife) name was in the books of that escort service. It had absolutley NOTHING to do with Nixon or his re-election. I've often wondered who convinced Nixon it DID have something to do with him and got the cover-up rolling.
I'll have to read this book.

Nixon did a lot of things that were not part of the Conservative game plan and we sure don't need to embrace him as one of our own. However, by a very wide margin his enemies came from the Left, not the Right. They never forgave him for his role in exposing Communists in the government, and this drove the Left's fanatical and almost irrational hatred of Nixon, even though many of his domestic policies fit right in with big government Democrat ideals.

Liddy just repeated that on MSNBC a few minutes ago. He also said that Dean was his boss and planned the other break in.
