Q: Before the election, Alec Baldwin; Rosie O'Donnell Janeane Garafalo, Whoopi Goldberg; Al Franken; Cher; Phil Donahue; Rob Reiner, Barbra Streisand; and Jan Fonda all promised to move from the U.S, if President Bush were re-elected.
Who left, and where are they now?? - Stuart Posselt, Minden, Nev.
All still live in the good old USA. None seriously considered moving, and our research turned up no public "promises."
That list was spread on the web and in print, perhaps to impugn the patriotism of these outspoken liberals (Bold added)
"Attention men and women: the MSM is again attempting to rewrite the election of 2004. It's up to us to locate factual information on the above list of heathen non-believers to document the words of these scum, and to send these facts to:

Gentlemen, as you were!

Freepers in action! It doesn't get any better!
Yes!
This is a day of remembrance.
Let's never forget our heros.
Let's always remember our loyal Americans and our friends worldwide.
Let's always remember to hold them close....
And to hold our enemies closer.
Sir, yes Sir!
Hell, Baldwin said it in 2000 and in 2004. Streisand posted it on her website. Fonda should have never been let in after her trip to North Vietnam. However, they all agree with the John sKerry concept that a leftist doesn't really need to mean what they say.
None seriously considered moving, and our research turned up no public "promises."

And Pierre, of course, has since moved to the Great Beyond.

Nope, not yet.
"Snopes" was from the 2000 election. We still need to mobilize the pajama patrol for the 2004 election!
I followed the 2004 election carefully, and only Baldwin spoke of desiring to move if Bush won. Maybe he even "promised," but that's hardly a crime.
Why this obsession with actors' comments?
A bit off topic, but where are the network shows about the veterans today? The war movies, etc?
Just fyi, the person who writes the Walter Scott column is Edward Klein, the author writing the Hillary expose. Both will be a testament to his credibility.
In the Canadian newspaper, the National Post, Robert Redford was reported to have vowed to move to Ireland if Mr. Bush is re-elected.
