A watershed event--the 2004 election--was won by Bush and the Republican'ts GAINED seats in the Senate.

Unaware of the RINO's in our midst, DTOM888 thought 2004 was a watershed event.

BTW, who do you think elects these RINO's election after election?

Is it; A.) Frist or is it B.)John Q. Public?

Reid just admitted this is their "first filibuster of the year, and maybe the last...

Well yeah, just as long as Bush doesn't nominate anybody else.

I'm sure you are right, the agreement is only for judges, and only for certain judges. Perhaps it is also only for certain days and certain hours, maybe only during certain weather. The whole things is a complete farce and the people of the USA deserve better than this.

You did not read the post.

Or, you did not read the post completely.

Or, you do not understand the post.

Or, you just did not want to accept the truth that was said in the post.

Really impressed -- NOT!

Just a chance for the 3rd party or the doom and gloomers to attack once again. This site seems overrun now with sky is falling, doom and gloomers, who either have no political savvy or are pretending to have none. Am sitting here shaking my head at some of the ridiculous comments.

You're right. I can't prove it by you, but the poll on the front page of FR does prove it.

I believe that a 100 something thread attacking McCain for something that Juan Williams spun on here with the people we have posting recently. Why would anyone believe what Juan Williams has to say?

B. Speaking from experience, primary challenges can work at removing individual RINO Senators, but unless all of them are removed, they'll find a way to wield just enough power to hand it all back to the DemonRATs.

Last year in Wisconsin, the (former) Senate Republican Majority "Leader", Mary Panzer, made a big mistake in blocking TABOR. She attracted, at the last moment, what seemed to be at the time a strong proponent of TABOR in the primary (Rep. Glenn Grothman), and despite an influx of cash and endorsements from the usual leftist groups, got waxed in the primary. Rather than serving as a lame-duck "leader" (the Legislature was out of session until after the general election), she resigned the post and the Pubbies briefly had a proponent of TABOR, Scott Fitzgerald as their leader.

Of course, you can see exactly where this one's going. The moment the Legislature went back into session after the election, the Senate pushed Fitzgerald out in favor of a RINO who proudly said he was beyond the influence of conservative talk radio, Dale Schultz. He co-opted Grothman into becoming a TABOR-buring RINO (and that's the kind version).

I'm with you. May as well save our money and let the rinos have it.

Dems are playing into Bush's hands... pushing button anytime now. Remeber that Bush just said the other day his appointees would get an up or down vote no matter what.

It is bipartisanship. Both parties are controlled by the same internationalist swine who want us subservient to an ever-more-powerful UN.

There is not a trace of American nationalism with Wasington politicians. Indeed, both parties seem to want us to abdicate our world power status. I agree with you here.

There is no practical difference between the RATs and the RAt-like clones, the Republican'ts.

I often wonder whether some of our fellow Freepers are actually the incestious offspring of the simplest of simpletons over at DU, who have no purpose here other than to make the rest of us look stupid.

That makes two of us -- only rationale explanation I can think of for people that cannot read and comprehend.

I hope the Republicans in Washington know how the base feels about their lack of duty. 7 positions are already up for grabs. Who wants to be next?

Dunno if I ever told you why I'm so down on Senate Pubbies, but #409 is just another example (local instead of national, but it sure feels the same to me).

I thought Frist had some leadership and I for one think he got rolled on the Filibuster deal.
If Frist had the votes then pull the trigger, it would be a shot in the arm for the Senate and change things I think for th better.
RINO's like McCain and Warner are too much the appeasers and I want to know why.
Lord sometimes all I can think about is that if Reagan were here and had both houses we really might have seen some real change and reform. Bush should have pushed this and a alot of other things but he hasn't. He's been good on some things but on many others he is a disappointment.
I still find hard to believe that after 4 1/2 years in office he hasn't cast one Veto of a Bill. Is that some kind of record????

"The Dems simply cannot be trusted"

Excellent observation, and very, very true. This "political party" abandoned whatever principles it had a long time ago. It exists only to make liberals and leftists feel good about themselves.
