"Dean also claimed that the best DemocRATS are Socialists" The truth comes out, but we already knew this didn't we?

Never having met President Bush I can't speak to his motives. I was simply pointing out that Dean made himself fair game.

"Howard Dean admitted to being a binge drinker in his earlier days"
He has apparently done some serious brain damage too. On Meet the Press yesterday, when the subject of abortion came up, he stated, "I would never have one."
To: Matchett-PI
DEAN is a political hack, the HEAD of the DNC - Rush Limbaugh is a TALK RADIO HOST, NOT running for political office...There is a HUGE difference and all of it against Dean's character! Dean's still binge drinking, if you ask me!
To: Matchett-PI
Actually, Rush is kind of stating the obvious, given Governor Dean's looney bin performance on Meet the Press and his recent public speeches. That's what you get when Dean is pretty much beholden to the Michael Moore/MoveOn.org wing of the Democratic Party.

Anyone have the link to the SF Chron article Rush just read? I have a few lieberal friends that would enjoy it!

Letsee, Rummy's getting to be a little old to run for president. Cheney doesn't want the job. Condi would be a great veep, so that leaves only one choice for 2008.

The quote was taken out of context.
Howard Dean admitted being a drinker "early in the day."

Interesting.
I noticed this comment by RS:
leaking false stories is an absurd notion and would be laughed at by the ethics people...
Oh, really? Seems to me "leaking" false stories is what gave us Rathergate and a bunch of dead people after Newsweek Korangate.
Gee, I thought that leaking false stories, a.k.a. disinformation, isn't exactly laughed at by the "ethics people". Unless of course your "ethics people" come from the UN or some institution of "higher learning".

Leaving the left

I can no longer abide the simpering voices of self-styled progressives -- people who once championed solidarity
Nightfall, Jan. 30. Eight-million Iraqi voters have finished risking their lives to endorse freedom and defy fascism. Three things happen in rapid succession. The right cheers. The left demurs. I walk away from a long-term intimate relationship. I'm separating not from a person but a cause: the political philosophy that for more than three decades has shaped my character and consciousness, my sense of self and community, even my sense of cosmos.
I'm leaving the left -- more precisely, the American cultural left and what it has become during our time together.
I choose this day for my departure because I can no longer abide the simpering voices of self-styled progressives -- people who once championed solidarity with oppressed populations everywhere -- reciting all the ways Iraq's democratic experiment might yet implode.
