NEWSWEEK: FIRE ISIKOFF OR ACCEPT HIS RESIGNATION IMMEDIATELY

Posted on 05/17/2005 9:24:40 AM PDT by Spacewolfomega

You can call Newsweek to voice your complaints at (212)445-4000. Demand that the magazine be held accountable by requesting that Isikoff either be fired or his resignation accepted. If you or your business have a subscription to Newsweek, threaten cancellation if they do not comply within a week from today (5-17-05). This sort of irresponsible reporting must be accounted for. Only all of our efforts can help bring this about. Thank you.

Hey. Welcome, if you are new. Thanks. I'm totally impressed that you knew the origin and you didn't even post the cartoon.

K-did you post some advertiser info and still have it at hand?

I recall:

Allstate

FEMA (= TAXPAYER PAID!)

State Farm

You have to admit they are sharper than Dan Rather. (I guess contributing to over a dozen deaths can set your brain cells to firing.) They didn't dig in, but officially retracted the story. I say we look at that as a tacit admission of guilt, and urge the authorities to prosecute the guilty. Newsweek needs to be hammered legally and put out of business. No, not to "encourage the others." Just as a good place to start.

When will someone please ask Eleanor Clift to apologize? Will she apologize on the 'McGlaughlin Group' this week? Or will she just blame Tony Blankley and evil Republicans, like she always does?

Eleanor Clift is such a Barking Moonbat, she will claim the report was "fake but accurate."

Newsweak Magazine subscriptions should come with security cables for the offices to prevent them from being thrown into the trash can.

...you knew the origin and you didn't even post the cartoon.

A right click on the pic and then a click on 'Properties' reveals the source of a linked photo.

All one has to do to find the origin is right click on the picture, etc in order to obtain the url, which is in this instance:

http://www.ocregister.com/newsimages/commentary/cartoon_20050517.gif

and go from there

Who was or was there actually an anonymous source that relayed this info to Newsweek? If there was such a source I want his/her head first.

In the meantime, you might want to stop buying the New York Sun, whose editorial this morning totally misses the point and fawns over brother journalist Isikoff.

I agree with NewsWeak. Isikoff's resignation is not necessary. He should just be made to go to Afghanistan and all other Muslim counties and meet personally, face-to-face with the citizens of those fair-minded countries and offer an apology for his error in reporting. That should take of the problem.....permanently, if you get my drift.

It's a "mindset" - not a single person.

Just stop buying their screed.

"Translation: Isikoff doesn't have an agenda......the editors of the magazine do! "

Which is why Newsweek should die. I don't care what happens to Isikoff, Muslims will take care of him.

Fire Isajerkoff? Hell, they'll probably give him the "Dan Rather Award for Excellence" badge.

Without subscriptions, there are no advertisers.

I'm in this business....believe me, the most important thing is the advertiser. Once an advertiser leaves a vehicle, they are hard pressed to get them back. This is where the print publisher makes their money. They really make nothing on the subscriptions. Just enough to pay the cost of paper and press time.

The advertisers are the key! Count on it!
