Yes, just several days after officially printing the bogus & treasonous story that officially launched anti-American rioting around the world and officially led to officially damning sermons from imams just looking for an excuse to officially slam the US in their sermons. Nice job, Newsweek. They got out their anti-US propaganda falsely claimed as 'news' and now try to look all apologetic. They officially got away with a big one, officially making it bad for American troops and Americans everywhere.

"They claimed that President Bush's policies would produce more violence and terrorism agaist the U.S. and when that didn't happen they figured out how to take care of that little problem all by themselves. It's probably the only independent, creative thing the Demos and their Media Comrades have done in the past twenty years." Agreed. And you and I know that they feel absolutely no shame or remorse about this. They may be slightly embarrassed because they got caught this time, but it won't change a single thing about how they operate in the future.

The left is as paranoid and shrill as the German Nazi Party of the '30s and '40s.

PJ,
I think this guy's name, "Isik Off" is misspelled.
Shouldn't that be, "Jack Off?"

You know what's coming now, don't you? The White House pressured Newsweek into retracting the story - that will become the mantra of the Dims and the MSM in regards to this story. I am just glad that the WH got some wavo's about them to finally stand up for themselves. Buckhead had to pressure Dan Rather (CBS) instead of the whitehouse doing it.
Bravo to the WH... don't let the liberals walk all over you.

First Newsweek needs to apologize to the American people, for hurting the war on terror. Then, even more important, they need to apologize to the American Soldier who will have to bear the brunt of the fallout from this treasonous action by Newsweek.
The American people should demand the Newsweek make amends for this criminal activity.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I came across a fresh release from usinfo.state.gov that suggests that the Aghanistan riots at least were likely unrelated to the "koran flushing" story. Implication is that the media fit the riot to the agenda at hand that day.

"Well, you have to give them credit. They claimed that President Bush's policies would produce more violence and terrorism agaist the U.S. and when that didn't happen they figured out how to take care of that little problem all by themselves. It's probably the only independent, creative thing the Demos and their Media Comrades have done in the past twenty years."
You have summed up this entire disgusting mess in one paragraph.
Kudos to you, hardworking.

Newsweek said that even if the story wasn't true it was still plausible.
Okay, supposedly there were no WMDs in Iraq, but based on the information we had it was still plausible. So, usuing Newsweeks logic, the US was right?

The Islamic/Fascists have will continue to use this "Lie" story to further their cause. It is time to bring back the sedition laws that were in place during WWI.
