You know what's coming now, don't you? The White House pressured Newsweek into retracting the story - that will become the mantra of the Dims and the MSM in regards to this story. I am just glad that the WH got some wavo's about them to finally stand up for themselves. Buckhead had to pressure Dan Rather (CBS) instead of the whitehouse doing it.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I came across a fresh release from usinfo.state.gov that suggests that the Aghanistan riots at least were likely unrelated to the "koran flushing" story. Implication is that the media fit the riot to the agenda at hand that day.

Okay, supposedly there were no WMDs in Iraq, but based on the information we had it was still plausible. So, usuing Newsweeks logic, the US was right?
