I just read a post on conservative blog that stated few freepers were veterans (implication was that we were chicken hawks). Having conversed with many of you and met a few, I do not believe that is the case. But it did get me wondering, who among us is active or prior service veterans? Awright you freeper vets SOUND OFF!

I'm not a vet, but my husband was, my older son is in the Air Force, the younger in Marine basic training, one of my brothers just got back from his 3rd tour of beautiful Iraq, one is Army, one is AF, and the other was in the Navy, and my mom is on active duty. Does that count?

Boom operator!? I heard you guys had to be crazy to do that. Naw. It was the guys on the other end of the boom that were crazy.

Naval Aviator, Tailhooker persuasion!
28 1/2 years of service, Active and Reserve, and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
If your airplane does not have a round engine, a tailwheel and a tailhook, it ain't a real airplane!

Good evening.
Not only are there many vets here, there is an abundance of intelligence here. I think that's because this is not a leftist forum.
