Labour remains 56 seats away from a majority government - there are a lot of Conservative strongholds coming though!

Once the results come in, they are posted on the web site. Once a winner looks like a certainty, the loser comes out and makes a concession speech from his headquarters, then the winner comes out from HIS headquarters and makes a victory speech. Third parties are ignored.

At no time are ALL parties gathered together in one place, as we see in your election. I like yours better, as it makes it more human and humbles everyone while they listen to the vote counts.

Yeah I like that too. Also no official 'winner' should be declared until the results are coming and it is virtually impossible to lose...no more determining official winners instantly...

Any reason why he refused to link to the ads for UKIP, Vertias, and the BNP?
These parties won't win, but may take seats and certainly can play impact the results in many constituencies.

I think I'm happiest so far about Wimbledon. Just because it's Wimbledon. : )

Yep - the "red states" of Great Britain...

Northern Ireland is a wildcard, as the parties are totally different (SDLP is basically an independent Labour party, plus unionist groups and an independence/terrorist group)

In the South of England and London, the Tories are winning votes from both parties. In safe and leaning Labor seats where the second party is the Liberal Democrats, their is a drain from Labor to the LD, everywhere. In the West of England, the Tories are eating away at LD. It seems more of an anti Labor vote swing than anything else. But the Tories didn't move outside London and South and West England, and thus not that many seats will change.

I like the British system also, but if Americans were to adopt it, you would see long faces on many hotel managers and caterers.

This election would have been a lot more interesting if they did proportional rep. in UK...

Labour just lost Harwich to the Tories

(and I'd love it if the Conservatives could get Margaret Thatcher's old Finchley seat back!)

Did me math wrong earlier. The pace is for Labour to lose 45 seats.

There is more tactical voting by the way than at any time in British history. National swing analysis matters less in this election than any other that I can remember.
