Once the results come in, they are posted on the web site. Once a winner looks like a certainty, the loser comes out and makes a concession speech from his headquarters, then the winner comes out from HIS headquarters and makes a victory speech. Third parties are ignored.

At no time are ALL parties gathered together in one place, as we see in your election. I like yours better, as it makes it more human and humbles everyone while they listen to the vote counts

I like the British system also, but if Americans were to adopt it, you would see long faces on many hotel managers and caterers.

Well, you are right. I also like making the candidates wear those big rosettes. It is silly enough looking that it deflates their importance.

The down side to the British manner of relaying results is that you would have our Libs throwing pies in the faces of the Rep victors, if not worse. A hat with the word "LIAR" emblazoned across it is rather tame to what our nuts would do.
