"The Lib Dems are precisely the party for the muesli eating crowd. Think of them as the Haight Ashbury Party, just with fewer sandals and shorter hair."

Aha, the beatnik, ex-hippies of the UK?

Holy dogsh*t! I just heard Rush indicate that early exits indicated a Tory landslide. Low, low turnout. WTF is going on over there?

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Sort of - think of them as former left wing university students, who graduated, got good jobs, and vote Liberal Democrat in an attempt to recapture their youth. They know it's a safe bet because the Lib Dems won't win power and so their money won't be taxed at Lib Dem rates, but still, they're doing their bit in the name of pointless idealism.

Glad to hear it, sounds like he will be a dynamic MP.

I'm off to a busy afternoon, so I should be back in time for the first call of the night. Best of luck to the Tories that they find something worth cheering about.

Please tell me that @$$wipe George Galloway and his "Respect" party are going to be crushed and humiliated...

LOL. I understand completely. I live in a "red zone" 30 miles (50 Kilometers) from the "blue zone" people's republic of Ann Arbor.

You bet. George Galloway got blasted by his wife suing him for divorce. What's really funny is that the Tory and Lib Dem candidates are actually Muslims, while George is proclaiming to be the real champion of the Muslims.

Respect is a coalition that I would love to see gagged, bound and dropped on the shores of France. They're a coalition of far left groups including the Socialist Workers Party. To hell with them and all their works.

Regards, Ivan

I am at work, so I don't know Rush's tone.

Was he possibly taking a jab at the exit pollsters who were trying to lock it up early for Kerry in here in November?

Of course those sorts of people are sanctimonious prigs you'd love to see embroiled in a puppy slaughtering scandal. Anything to expose them as the hypocrites they are.

I should add, I think George Galloway is a traitor and should have faced the gallows. But that's just me.

That would seriously violate the well known saying that politics is merely show business for the ugly. :)
