Editor's note: "Life and Death in America" – a stunning special investigative report that will start with the Terri Schiavo story, but will go on to expose as never before America's rapidly expanding euthanasia/"right-to-die" movement – will be the focus of an upcoming issue of WND's acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine.

Terri was not dying until she stopped receiving food and water," Pavone said. "Once deprived of that sustenance, she died. It does not require any legal or medical expertise to recognize that as murder. Nobody who has lost the basic capability to understand that should be honored."

Bravo to Pavone for stating the obvious truth.

With all due repect to the Father, this Judge, along with every other court this case came before, decided the case based on THE LAW. If people don't like the result, then change THE LAW...any other result would have been JUDICIAL ACTIVISM...something none of us (I presume) want.

Yes the result was terrible...don't blame the courts, blame the Florida legislature. It is their fault.

Ok, I'll get down from the soapbox.

......will receive an award today from his law colleagues.........."colleagues" always give each other awards....no matter how despicable the "colleague" is. Mafia members gave each other awards....Hitler gave his "collegues" awards.....the "colleagues" of the ATF at Waco gave each other awards.....and so it goes.....

The fireman who was in a coma for 10 years after being deprived of oxygen for 10 minutes proves the case of the priest.

Treatment by a Doctor who was interested in the fireman and formulated a treatment resulted in bringing him out of his coma.

This could also have been the result for the lady that was legally murdered.

I seem to recall the florida legislature passing a law in an attempt to save Terri, but an ACTIVIST JUDGE overturned them.

Change the "LAW"... That soapbox will not stand on its own merit. It is a convenient crutch to lean on when defending the "law".

Please tell me what LAW the Honorable Judge Greer followed. I have yet to see anyone show what law that would have been. You just can't go around saying he followed the law if you don't know what law that would be.

Imagine Judicial Activism on the part of saving an innocent persons' life? That would surely be a tragedy... -sarcasm

When the law is an ass and some innocent person's life is at stake, no law made by man should trump that innocent person's right to live.

Your argument is the modern day equivalent of the Sadducees telling Jesus not to heal people on the Sabbath because it was against the law.

Yeah, well this is the same reason why 1.2 million babies are aborted each year-----"THE LAW."

While you are technically correct, won't argue that, it doesn't make it right morally.

You over simplify with your statement "then change THE LAW." There is an unwritten law which this country was founded upon with it's Judeo-Christian roots. The NATURAL LAW (which cannot be changed).

What is happening with abortion, and now the opened gates of euthenasia (sp) even before the Schiavo case, is LEGALIZED murder via "THE LAW." The courts have forgotten the NATURAL LAW.

Fr. Pavone is correct.

Calm down and get off your soapbox, Pavone. The judge was simply acting based on law.

What an idiot.

Every court (save the Supreme Court, which declined on multiple occasions to review the case) found in favor of the husband. What does that tell you? It is easy for the cowards in the legislature to blame the judges (who don't make the rules). Think about it.

Moreover, where is the outcry to change the laws now? Legislators are gutless.

He followed the law that stated the husband gets to make the decision...as did every single appelate court (I guess the two REPUBLICAN APPOINTEES are murderers, too?).
