The CNN chick is still on a rant. When she said Wilbanks was alive, her eyes said she wished she was dead! Good chuckle this morning.

I'm glad it's not JUST ME seeing that; she looks like she took it quite personally, doesn't she?
I wish I thought this would make the "press" more careful in their reporting, but, in all honesty, I'm thinking that now that they realize they've been taken two things are going to happen: 1) They are going to destroy this girl because she did it to them, and 2) They are going to be even more vicious and demanding when the next case comes around.

LOL! Yes...it's as though this was THEIR story...and how DARE they do this to US?
Sounds like this wedding was more like a coronation...huge parties for days before the wedding. It's all very southern.

Apparently his lawyer suggested that he take a private one first and my understanding is he was ready to take one from the police. It's still a delay and time could have been of the essence. So I still wonder what the fiance knew and when he knew it.

That contrast between the male anchor and the female anchor amused me too.

100% correct!
Any lawyer worth their salt can get you a polygraph test that you will pass, and it means nothing to the law enforcement officials. If the lawyer is able to get it in at the trial, it may have some effect on the jurors, but very little. From personal experience. ;)

In one sense, I don't blame the media for being furious. This affair probably cost them a combined mint. All that air time, and sending crews to the scene, putting them up in motels, feeding them, transporting expensive equipment, etc.
I'm sure when they send Greta to a news scene for a couple of days, they don't put her up in a Motel 6.
I suppose the story is good for ratings, but its "hotness" is rather temporary and doesn't replace outlaid cash in the media pockets. I'd be ticked, also.

When "Summer of 42" came out, in the 70's..Jennifer O'Neill became a huge star overnight, and the name Jennifer instantly became the most popular girl's name overnight. Five years later, in my niece's kindergarden class of 12..there were 7 girls, 5 named Jennifer..the teacher called them Jennifer 1, Jennifer 2, etc..

Well, the entire town will NEVER forget this! Thirty years from now, you will hear a conversation like this in Duluth:
" When did they change Social Security? "
"Oh, you remember, it was a couple of years after that Wilbank girl ran off."
To: Truth29
Wait a minute! This disturbed young woman spent 3-4 days on a bus. As I understand it, buses don't have TV's or 24/7 news coverage.
She was not caught up in the drama of watching CNN, FOX or any other "news".
This was an anxiety attack of monumental proportions. The story was not hers.......it belonged to the media and us.
