ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.
Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.

A good analysis.
I would add that most of us are generally just "thinking out loud", using life experience, instincts etc., to make sense of outrageous situations.
No-one is claiming omnipotence...sometimes we nail it, sometimes we don't. It's akin to mental jogging.

The Sheriff looks pissed!
Yes, I do. Strange times.
FOX news reported, she was scared about her marriage and ran.
The college girl right?
I think the hubby-to-be may know more than he's saying about how and why she behaved the way she did. He did refuse to take the poly after all.
She didn't report herself missing, so no crime. (Other than cold feet) The only problem I see here, is that the media was duped.
Wilbanks has ONE chance to save her reputation and turn around public opinion in her favor. All she has to do it hold a press conference and announce that she ran away because she was sooo upset at the news that Frist was going to invoke the nuclear option in the Senate..she couldn't bear the idea of these judges getting confirmed..
No criminal charges..she had better reimburse the town!
FBI picked her up in Alburquerque and questioned her. She broke down and told them the truth. NO criminal charges to be pressed, says Duluth police chief.
Now her previous statement about being abducted by a Hispanic man makes you want to go hmmmmmm.
.
Bingo..
She was probably being interrogated (per news reports) by the FBI, and presumably they told her that she hadn't broken any laws YET (by just running away prior to her wedding). Then, they probably told her just how many laws she WOULD be breaking by filing a false police report, etc.
She probably never thought things all the way through, and thought she could cook up this false "abducted by Hispanics" story and dodge the wedding. THEN, the legal problems came into the picture and forced her to come clean, vs. face serious jail time/felonies.
The thing that was most obvious to me about this story being fake was that she called THE DAY OF HER WEDDING and claimed that they altered her appearance BEFORE grabbing her. No bad guy does this - they grab and run. And the day of her wedding?
For cryin' out loud..
Yes, wasn't that the college girl they had leaving the dorm -and she had been sleeping out in the woods or something?
wackiness
You mean she had a plan?
You've probably been jaded by the Scott Peterson case. I was suspicious of him right from the first report, but not of this fiance. There were those photos of Scott and Lacy where he is always elbowing himself into being in front and the center of attention.
This fiance of Jennifer's just impressed me as a deer caught in the headlights innocent who didn't know what to do, but I didn't watch enough of the coverage to be sure about that.
I'm VERY glad she is alive. How well she is remains to be seen.
Ah, THIS girl. Yes, she doesn't look happy at all.
No criminal charges. I guess when you have BIG DOGS (family) in town, you can get by with LYING TO POLICE OFFICERS!
Yup- college student...something about a marsh near the water.
LOL...still listening to CNN..they are furious.
Ohh Jeeezz... not this chit again.
Can all you folks with "feelings" about the guilt of this poor guy please start your own thread?
