Father arrested over objections to homosexual curriculum in son’s kindergarten class.

LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS, APRIL 27. Lexington parent, David Parker, was arrested today by the Lexington Police for “trespassing” at his son’s elementary school during a scheduled meeting with the principal and the city’s Director of Education over his objections to homosexual curriculum materials and discussions in his son’s kindergarten class.

At the meeting, Parker demanded that the school inform him when homosexual subjects are to be discussed with his son, and allow his son not to be included in such activities. He said he would not leave until his request was granted. The Principal and the city’s Director of Education both refused his request. They then telephoned the Superintendent of Schools who also refused. Police were called, who told Parker that unless he left the school he would be arrested.

Statement by David Parker(April 27, 2005):

“I, David Parker, am the father of a kindergarten student at Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington, Massachusetts. Since the beginning of this school year, my wife and I have learned that school materials and discussions about gay-headed households/same-sex union issues have been exposed to the children. There are definitive plans to increase the teacher/staff/adult mediated discussions of these subjects.

“We have officially stated on many occasions—to the Lexington school administration—a request that we be notified when these discussions are planned, and want our 6-year-old opted out of such situations when arising “spontaneously”.

“Our parental requests for our own child were flat-out denied with no effort at accommodation. In our meeting on April 27, I, insisted that such accommodation be made and refused to leave the meeting room. I was informed that I would be arrested.”

Parker will be arraigned on Thursday, April 28, in Concord District Court at 9 am. “This is an unbelievable outrage,” said Brian Camenker, a friend and Newton, Mass. parent. “It’s where last year’s same-sex ‘marriage’ ruling has brought us.”

Why does this need to be discussed in a kindergarten class?

(Once again, thankful that my child is not in this kind of school...)

There is nothing wrong with the educational power structure that a few sound horse-whippings wouldn't cure!

“It’s where last year’s same-sex ‘marriage’ ruling has brought us.”

Gov. Romney could have refused to enforce the illegal ruling of the Mass. Supreme Court. But like a typical button-down Republican, he bowed to the judicial dictators. People, stop putting your trust in any party - even the Republican Party. The Republican politicians, like all politicians, care about their own livelihoods and their own families, not you or yours.

Whoa....

Hey all, talk to the masses that you can influence. Tell them to exit the Public School system; some will listen.

My extended family has multiple children in private schooling; although they pinch pennies to do so.

The collapse of major portions of the U.S. Public School system would be great news in the future.

Why does this need to be discussed in a kindergarten class?
---
It's the real reason behind the big push for mandatory KINDERGARTEN for four year olds (but it is only for half the day). Sure it is to improve reading skills...

Yeah, it's best to get this trash in a kids head when they are young.

How many times has a little girl said to their mommy, "someday I am going ot marry you?" - said in innocent love of her Mom? Many! They are exploited that sweet innocence with having them believe same sex love is just dandy.

Sounds like time to pull the kid out of public school. Kids who are homeschooled or who attend private schools perform better in general anyway.

No because once vouchers are introduced to private schools, the feds will be able to enforce this kind of thing there too. No vouchers.

This is unbelievable, your child is no longer your child when in public school and you have no say as to what they can be exposed to when there.

I went face to face with a coach of my oldest son, years ago, who told me when my son was in his class he was no longer my son during that time. This discussion was in front of the high school principal. I turned to the principal then and asked if the school was going to be taking over his care, expenses of insurance, hospital bills, food, clothing, etc.

Then I asked if the school would responsible and liable if my son was unjured during this unsupervised-by-an-adult activity......the principal fully backed me and put the coach in his place, and we never had that problem again.

Times have changed big time in ten years.
