Look at any California construction site. Most of them appear to be illegal aliens. I know many construction workers here who have lost their jobs to lower-paid, cash-on-the-spot illegal aliens. They're not happy about it, but even though they have reported the employers, nothing is ever done about it.
Florida, lets hope they aren't Cubans, or there will be heck to pay.

People have been trying for years to have a hotline where you can check SS# but the privacy people have raised a stink every time it's brought up. The employers have no way of knowing if a number if fake or not.

Isn't there a lot people can do to you if they have your SS number?
All that can be done is to trace fake documents. I would offer free citizenship if they testify against the forgers, the contractor, and anyone else involved.

At prevailing wages on major construction sites, no one can convince me there aren't Americans who would like those jobs.
Repeat this at every construction site in Florida and the state's growth rate will be cut in half. Still, I want to thank the illegals working for the Army Corps of Engineers for putting on my blue roof after the hurricane damage.
I dont think allot of employers know of that info from the link upchuck gave us (but I passed it on to friends who own construction businesses, so thank you). IIRC they only look at a SS card for W2 purposes and don't have to look further. Heck the 911 hijackers had fake i.d.'s for pilots, drivers licenses, etc. I don't know how a contractor is to know who to check when they look legit on paper.
And I would like to thank the illegals from Aspludh/Texas for coming to Florida and clearing the trees of my property.
