Tongiht Sci-Fi listing:
Star Trek Enterprise: Part 1 of 2, this is the mirror universe episodes...
Pretty good list. I can't argue with any of it except for Space: Above and Beyond. That was some of the best writing (dialogue) I have ever seen. I would have to put it in the top 5 on my list.
Heh... I'm with you on Earth Final Conflict being horrible.
Now if you want to talk classic Sci Fi... lets talk "Space Precinct". I was only like 10 at the time, but I remember that being a different type of show. Differnt POV of the future.
Things were dirty, and hecktic... much more shadowrun than trek.
If anyone ever finds any Space:AAB or Space Precinct torrents to DL pls message me (again, as long as there is no DVD for sale, I feel it is totally within our rights to download and/or share info about downloading)
Sorry to keep bumping this, but I just heard something about what I was complaing about before.
Seems SCI-FI doesn't even need a man / animal hybrid anymore for their LAME ASS 'monster of the week' specials.
Just saw a commercial for a show next saturday night for "MAN-THING"
Yes thats right.. a man crossed with a THING... BAM! MAN-THING is born!
The lack of creativity or originality is downright PA-THE-TIC.
I think (one man's opinion) that that's unfair to the very first book in the series. Can't disagree with you after that, though.
Mm; you're thinking of the love Leto and Jessica shared, and their love for Paul? And his for Chani? And maybe even Kynes' for the planet? If so, you've a good point. No joy, though; gloating, mirthless exultation, but not joy.
But in reflecting, I've thought of a fourth word: calculating.
That's the best single word I can think of to sum up viewing people and events detachedly as objects to be manipulated drily and cold-bloodedly.
Dan
Best part of the show, bes Lexi was the end song by Warren Zevon.
I do remember Lexa playing "Cowgirl", dts. IIRC, Lexa is married to Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson of SG-1)
Jack.
