What nice, warm eyes he has! Congratulations to our Catholic brothers & sisters!

the presidente of ecuador just dissolved their supreme court a few days ago.......try uruguay. they need some help
To: All
Isn't this the man who made a rather pointed comment about the MSM that they considered a liability? Or was that someone else? Of all the people circulated for Pope that was the only one that grabbed my eye.
Best Wishes to Catholics on your new Pope. The idea of a German Pope seems right at this time.
To: LIConFem
I'm curious, what is the truth there. I don't like the idea that he fought for the Germans when we just had a Pope who was persecuted by them.

DU? Yeah, this is what happens when we throw holy water on them!

I'm not surprised at this turn of events, since Ratzinger had a few things in his favor going into this conclave (his age, his personal connection to Pope John Paul II, and his stature within the Vatican). What is being overlooked here is that we have now had two consecutive non-Italian popes -- which means that the papacy is clearly seen as more of an international institution than it once was.

I hope this energizes catholics to vote conservative in upcoming elections.
Either that, or it will confirm for the Catholic liberals that John Paul II was NOT an aberration.
