Considered conservative, yes.
I am struck though by the sense that liberals will HATE this and increase attacks on the church. So I wonder if he is indeed the pope of the Third Secret of Fatima. There is a sense he will be attacked. Because of conservative policies. A likely guess is that John Paul II wanted him to be his successor.
