The MSM will not be pleased. They hoped the new Pope would remake the Church to their specifications -- become more 'relevant'. Oh, well, it will be back to Catholic bashing in the MSM before you know it.

Actually the MSM will be very pleased. They will relish the opportunity to bash a "rigid" Pope. They were frankly sick of all the good will toward JPII.
