Does that mean Moussaoui would get a "Death Cage match" with ex-Governor Ventura? I would pay to see that.

Ask Norm Maneta. He was in charge then. And while at it, ask GW why Norm Maneta still has his job. This especially after having done absolutely nothing to improve air travel security since he "assumed his position" (take that anyway you choose). Mineta is a great example of why the 2nd Amendment was enacted by the Founders.

This is obviously a plea bargain deal.....plead guilty or you'll assume room temperature.

The feds have probably picked his brains clean by now.

I hope he gets life without parole. My fear of his being executed is based on my sixth sense that the moose limbs will do fearful retribution if he gets the needle.

Let him rot in a fetid cell, along and forgotten, except by the ACLU who will try to spring him (at least for a little while, hah, till they forget him, also).

Nope.

JV is a product of his HollyWood pals.

He spent (wasted) four of Minnesotas' years being a tough guy. The Uptown crowd bought it. The rest of us saw through it.

If JV actually saw a BG, he'd have soiled himself.

He let everyone know he had a piece and a permit...

OoooooHhhhhh!!!!!

If the Mouss comes back to MN, I'll let you sit in the front row, no charge.

Sandy Berger to plead guilty?

Wonder how much time he'll do?

WASHINGTON - Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person in the United States charged in connection with the Sept. 11 attacks, is offering for a second time to plead guilty and a federal judge is evaluating whether to accept the plea, a legal source said Tuesday.

Case History: U.S. v. Moussaoui (FindLaw)

The source, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because the matter remains sealed, said if U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema finds Moussaoui mentally competent to make the decision, he could enter the plea before the end of the month.

The government accused Moussaoui of participating in an al-Qaida conspiracy to commit terrorism that included the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys in the case declined to comment on The Washington Post report when contacted Monday night by The Associated Press.

Moussaoui, a French citizen, tried to plead guilty in 2002 but took back the plea a week later.

The Post, which first reported the plea offer in Tuesday editions, said Brinkema is scheduled to meet with Moussaoui this week to determine whether he has the mental capacity to enter a plea.

The paper reported that in recent letters to the government and to Brinkema, Moussaoui said he is willing to accept the possibility of a death sentence. It said if the judge allows a guilty plea, she then likely would schedule a trial to determine a sentence.

The Los Angeles Times reported in Tuesday's editions that the letter was sent two weeks ago and quoted unnamed sources as saying Moussaoui's lawyers wanted his latest request thrown out, arguing that the letter is Moussaoui's naive attempt to win a hearing before the U.S. Supreme Court

Moussaoui was indicted in December 2001, but his trial has been delayed three times. In March the Supreme Court agreed with a lower appeals court that Moussaoui could not have access to three al-Qaida witnesses and that the government could seek the death penalty.

Wanna bet they told him that we had friends in Iraq now that wanted to talk to him? That he would be taking a little trip for a few months so they could spend some time with him?

I'm going on record that this guy doesn't last thirty days in lockup unless he's put in solitary. Anyone want to join the Moussaoui dead pool?
