Fla. Woman, 81, Crashes Car at Dealership

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- An 81-year-old woman preparing to take a test drive at a car dealership hit her husband, a salesman, a car and a tree before running into a wall. "She must have panicked," said Joe Sica, sales manager at Honda of Fort Myers.

The new Honda Accord shot backward after Dorothy Byrum got behind the wheel....the car was written off.

I didn't know a car could "shoot backward" of it's own accord. The writer of the article likely forgot to mention the part about the lady putting her foot on the gas, thinking it was the brake, while the car was in reverse.

That's what I would say...

But nowdays they have everything insured because they know that some people that come in to test drive are dead beats and if something happened during the test drive they would be out a car... hence write off.
