QUOTE OF THE DAY: Just a couple of brief thoughts and I'd be glad to answer some questions -- if you have any. (Laughter.) Here's what Jefferson said -- Jefferson said, "Our liberty depends on freedom of the press, that cannot be limited without being lost." He also went on to say, "I've given up newspapers and I find myself much happier." (Laughter.)

Hi Rintense. Great quote of the day!
I buy our local rag (SJ Mercury News) just for the funnies, sports and Dear Abby, and get my news from Fox or here.

And the recipients of the 2004 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Howdy rintense! Great first picture. I'm sure it was another strike right down the center of home plate.
Just to keep it within the talk of baseball for a second, I went and saw Fever Pitch, the movie with Jimmy Falon about the Red Sox. It was really good.
Thanks for the pictures.

Looking at the baseball pictures, I'm reminded of how lucky we are that sKerry didn't win.
Could you imagine the severe damage he could have done to some unsuspecting fan when he attempted to throw the ball to homeplate?
Grizzly thought!

I'd like to know, too, because I missed it live.

I'm glad there's a baseball team in Washington now. Maybe the President will frequent the games and have a chance to relax a bit more. He seems to be enjoying himself.
